I hope it looks something similar to the one that's been in the animated Lego TV series for ages. I've been hoping they would remake it, but i dread to think what the price will be!

Yeah if we even get one... thats my biggest question atm hehe else I will start brick linking

Welp, this info and the movie made my year. There's only one thing I have left to say.

"Chewie, we're home." (in 2016)

Oh, one last thing. My wallet has officially died.

+100

I'm sure new Ahsoka fig would cheer you all up.

Of course, but I still want to know the real summer wave sets list more than the new Ahsoka minifigure.

A bunch of fake summer set lists sure make us want the real list appear quickly like a hungry wolf, isn't?

Personally I love Rebels so I'd like to see a nice amount of sets devoted to it. Besides it's a good reason to get a new blockade runner out there and the new inquisitors.

I was interested to hear about the new Turbo Tank though, seems that the clone wars is still being plundered for sets which is no bad thing. This all leads me to think that a TFA Star Destroyer may not happen though. I can't see Kylo Ren being in another set so who would you have? A Stormtrooper Finn perhaps? or another chance to get Captain Phasma?

Couldn't agree more.

REBELS Ahsoka of course !

Omgomgomg

A new Ahsoka was the thing I was most looking forward to this year. Here's to hoping they do her lightsabers justice.

Thanks nrg!

This, with possible re-release of UCS MF would make my year more than any TFA based set!!! I've been wanting a new Ahsoka forever!! I know that I'll attract the ire of fans by stating this, but I think she would look awesome as an elaborate Friends-style minifigure!

What other major TFA ship can they release?

My bet regarding the figs would be Hux with hairpiece, Snoke, some troopers, FN-2187, Poe as prisoner, maybe Phasma. I agree with your Ren comment!

Regarding cavegods latest bit of information about a new UCS MF there is a similar discussion in another forum:

http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/15467-new-usc-millennium-falcon-2016-rumor/?page=3

And I have to agree to an extent with the information that is given there. Just because a different UCS Size Millenium Falcon has been seen, does not mean they have one ready and about to market and sell.

It also could have been just a prototype for Lego to discuss the matter of releasing a new one, doesnt mean they automatically decide to do so.

Of course I dont know if Disneys involvement might be able to change that state over time and if they want a new one released regardless if it fits the portfolio of Legos smaller sets.

Even if a new UCS Millennium Falcon was in development, wouldn't the most appropriate time to release it be in 2017 to tie in with Episode 8? TFA version will be retired by that point and a UCS version keeps the Falcon on the market until the next system scale remake rolls out in time for Episode 9.

Don't see it myself. I've said it before many times and I will continue to say it. The UCS MF didn't sell the first time. It was hanging around on the shelves for a long time before LEGO finally managed to shift them all. It was too expensive, at a price that now seems like a bargain. At today's LEGO prices it would be between 5-600 uk quid. Even with all the new hype, can LEGO ever have the confidence it will sell at that price sufficiently enough to justify development and production when they can infinitely churn them out at 1-200 quid all day long? What's been seen is more likely some sort of one off for a show/display or something. That I can believe...

...and let's be honest, the original is an awful build. It's pretty terrible. LEGO are more likely to come up with a complete new design then rehash an old set which isn't even that good.

BUT the Ghostbusters HQ is pretty big, all be it without the additional SW price tag, so anything is possible.

If they do release a UCS size MF in the next few years, I hope it's big enough to take the crown of 'the biggest set' I've always found it a little irritating that it is the 2nd biggest.

Very true and I really hope we do get one. I really liked the look of it. I'm more than happy to be wrong on this one!

If we get a big ship in the summer the Interdictor from Rebels could be an option perhaps?

I have to disagree. Lego has been pushing the envelope with more and more expensive sets. Ghostbusters HQ and Helicarrier are the two most expensive sets out right now. UCS SSD did sell at like $400 USD. But it didnt last long.

Remaking a UCS MF could do well. They are banking on a lot of factors. It is 8 years after the UCS MF was released back in 2007. Not much was going on in 2007. That was 2 years after the release of Episode 3. Lego should strike while the fire is going. You have all the adult collectors who missed out on a UCS MF. I think many if not all of us would jump to pay $500 USD for a UCS MF right now. Hindsight 20/20. Now that we have Episode 7 out and a few more movies to come, including a possible Young Han Solo movie which might have some MF goodness in it, there will be a lot of attention given toward the Millennium Falcon. Going back to 2007 many of the kids who grew up watching the prequels are now 8 years older. They are in their late teens if not early 20s. Many of them grew up on Star Wars and have disposable income. So now you have an even larger pool of people who can afford to buy a UCS MF.

I hope it comes out. In the past two weeks I have been going through my collection of pieces and harvesting parts for my own UCS MF build. I am over 1,000 pcs set aside. I am debating whether now to wait or keep going and Bricklink the rest? Tough as I am impatient LOL

I just bought one of these on ebay. It seems legit. High quality plastic and printing, so I'm certain it's official. I guess the UCS hoth playset is coming sooner than expected...

any idea where to get a suitable head from? This torso looks fantastic but it'd be pointless for me as I have no head! (Well, I have got a head... You know what I mean). Edited by Richpepperell

If the trend follows, they may unveil the set at a toy fair just like the UCS Tie

The SSD is another example of a set that performed disappointingly for LEGO.

600 quid is $900 BTW

A very modest 0.10ppp x 5k pieces is £500 and then some...

A 5k piece MF will not be $500

Haha $500 yes, but it'll be considerably more than that now I am afraid. That's what is was sold for over 10yrs ago.

You could sell it at £1000 and it would still sell to adults that missed out, in very, very limit numbers. Numbers that unfortunately can never sensibly justify the costs of reproducing it. It will never sell in the volumes required or at the price required and unfortunately LEGO know that. No matter how strongly some of us want it to happen doesn't mean it will. :(

BTW I am not suggesting it will be £1000. Just a LOT more than $500

Some cheap prices on Bricklink. This would be the cheapest way of making one from scratch

I can't link in here, sorry
