Dameronian Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I never disagreed. Just saying. Also: WTF? Set prices are WAY over what we'd been led to believe. $90 for Takodana? $110 for Resistance Transport? Ghostbusters HQ is $500! If this isn't a website screwup, and these are final prices, I've just been priced out of the hobby. Which country have you set your S@H to? USA shows these prices and thats also what I paid last night for 75140: Quote
YellowCorvette Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Wow, the Resistance transporter turn out to been $70, the same price like 75101. (This makes my previous post kinda pointless) But still, the price tag of the Takadona set is ridiculous. Edited January 1, 2016 by ArmstrongYong Quote
Flieger Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 maybe even a special forces tie fighter pilot (which was NOT the pilot type included in the special forces tie fighter set, for some reason). True; this makes me very sad. I think those red stripes really would have improved the look of the minifig - especially as the mould is simply perfect. And maybe they might get the colour of the laser right, too. They chose the colour of the laser cannon's tip (emitter), which is red, so that the model looks right. I think it is the right choice, even if the laser bolts are green. Quote

Considering the accuracy, features and detailing inside and out, 75140 is quite a good deal. 75139, not so much. But then again, everything is supposed to be awesome with bacon.... Quote
wesker Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I'm not too bothered we didn't get an elite TIE Pilot with the Special Forces TIE Fighter. Lego can easily include one in a future Microfighter and we've still got Episodes 8 and 9 on the horrizon. Quote
Sir Gareth Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I can confirm Target has the Battle on Takodana for only $49.99, just picked one up in-store. Quote

They should have given us SF pilots and later released the regulars. The new micro TIE could have been TFA with SF pilot. (Or, even better imo, it could have come with Baron Valen Rudor - if it has to be Rebels). Quote

Hopefully some of the other sites like Amazon and toys r us will follow soon and match the Target price on Takadona and the Transporter. Quote
Captain Nemo Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I picked up Takodana from Target today for $49.99 too. Weirdly enough however, when I price checked it, the name shown on the scanner was "Lego Star Wars Hall of Mirrors $49.99" and not Battle on Takondana. Not sure what that was about... Quote

Hall Of Mirrors was the codename for the castle during filming, and also the codename for the set. It shows up that way in Target's internal inventory when you search the DPCI, as well. TK924 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Anyone know what the release dates are for the 75133 and 75136 sets? Thx. . Quote
Ultron Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 So the non-TFA sets aren't coming out today including the two battlepacks? That's dumb. When has TLG ever done that? Quote
Pulp Detective Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Has anyone gotten "Kanan's Speeder Bike" set??I was able get it alot earlier than I would ever imagined and I have to say it's worth every penny just because it's the only way to get Kanan in a cheap way.Just one complaint thought, the speeder bike is a bit oversized. Tariq j Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I read somewhere that only episode 7 sets comes out today while the rest of the wave is set for March In the UK the Starfighter and the Carbonite Freezing Chamber are on Shop@Home. Quote
Winkerbean Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Ordered my Carbon-Freezing Chamber on the 26th and it arrived yesterday, got a free Winter Solider polybag with it. Ordered the Takodana set this morning, can't wait for it to arrive! Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Ordered Takodana online from Target for $50. Let's hope this order isn't cancelled like my S@H one was! EDIT: It's already shipped! Wow! Edited January 1, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
Dameronian Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) What in heavens name could be the reasoning behind releasing Obi Wan's Interceptor, Droid Escape, Hoth Attack and the Freezing Chamber in some Euro markets but not in the US... Also somewhat astonishing how TRU undercuts S@H by a lot, on the very day of set release (not later on)..albeit only for in store pickup... Dhivael Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ^Target won't let me order Takodana online. Even for local pickup. My store has it "in stock" on the website, but not on shelves yet :/ Hope the price doesn't go up. Noticed the battle pack is already 30 days Sold out on S@H. And no sign of Carbonite Chamber. I thought it was in the catalog? What is this, a hasbro-level SW effort from TLG? (I joke. Kinda.) Quote
Mymaker123 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Bought Takodona from the LEGO Store today here in Manchester UK. Believe me, it is much better in person. Maybe not quite warranting the US price, but definitely the British price -- assuming of course you throw the phrase "exchange rate" out the window like most companies do. The figures are fantastic as expected, but the actual build is awesome too. The play features and such make it great for kids, but because it can arch in the centre and create two separate walls / sections, it looks really good as a display / backdrop for bigger builds. For example, I have it set to the back-right of my shelf with the TFA Falcon in the middle of the shelf, and they look great. Quote
Robianco Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 They seem to be splitting things up a lot over various themes. I picked up the OT battle packs at my Lego store today and they had the rest of the sets in including Carbon Chamber, Droid Escape, Rebels, TFA sets etc but then we're missing certain things on other themes such as the Mighty Micros on the SH theme. Maybe these quirks are something that'll become more common . Quote
pcsguy88 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Sounds like I need to go buy the Resistance Transport at Target and return it to the Lego store to get my $10 back. I do have to admit it is worth $70 having just finished building it (heavy and much larger than it looks in pics), but $10 is still $10. That is an extra FO battle pack. Quote

Deathstroke77 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Sorry, I'm new to this part of EuroBricks, so sorry if I'm butting in. But the new Takodana set is very cool, and worth every penny, which also includes the face and hair variant of Kylo Ren, a figure I can see becoming pretty rare in the coming years. Also, has there been any 2016 summer/spring rumours? I've been waiting on a cheap-ish set with Darth Vader in for a while now, but there hasn't been one in a few years. I'm really thinking of buying the 2015 Final Duel set, but £70 is a bit steep for my liking. Anyone got any rumours? Quote
