namioik Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 I'm guessing it'l be Ep. III, since we've been getting a lot of III stuff recently. If so, this is a perfect chance for a new Luminara. Come on LEGO! Or a random commander Cody! Remember the 2005 release? Yellow clone with orange pauldron....Nice try Lego. Quote
BigEl Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Or a random commander Cody! Remember the 2005 release? Yellow clone with orange pauldron....Nice try Lego. A new Commander Cody with the level of quality we got with recent Commander Gree would be fantastic, but I dont see how he fits a Turbo Tank in any way. Based by the movies we only see him related to Utapau, and there werent any Turbo Tanks. Luminara in line with the Kashyyyk Theme seems much more likely (since we already get Yoda with the Homing Spider Droid). Quote

I looked up the battle of kashyyyk on Star Wars and I don't recall seeing nor does Star Wars acknowledge the homing spider droid being there during the battle. Although Commander Cody is unlikely, it's not out of the realm of possibilities! Quote

If so, this is a perfect chance for a new Luminara. Come on LEGO! No light-up light sabers though this time around, I'm sure. I'd like to see how they do it, with the overall look of the model but also then infigure selection, hopefully not just a bunch of clones and the likes. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Clone turbo tank is just going to be a remake from the one released in 2005. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Clone turbo tank is just going to be a remake from the one released in 2005. Real original, lego. *eyeroll* Any word on minfigure selection? Because Mace Windu wasn't even there. And as someone said a page back, great chance for Master Luminari. Quote
Clone OPatra Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 How could a new version of something done before not be a remake? The Clone Wars one was also a remake of the one from 2005. I'm sure the minifig selection will be different. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Of course there's going to be a different minifigure selection. I'm sure we'll get Mace windu again, but that's just me assuming. Quote
Rishab N Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Very much looking forward to the new UCS Snowspeeder. I wasn't into Lego when the original was released and now aftermarket prices are ridiculous(as with all UCS sets). Any info when it will be revealed? Quote

Darth Malgus Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Clone turbo tank is just going to be a remake from the one released in 2005. I imagine there will be a few more Kashyyyk troopers there. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Will the Clone Turbo Tank be a collaborative set? With possibly a small build for any wookies or droids in the set? Or just the clones, Jedi, and pilots? How could a new version of something done before not be a remake? Haha, mental note. *smacks head* Quote
atlas Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Don't forget Theron Nett in the x-wing microfighter. Where can I see your progress of creating all the pilots? I am interested in it. Here's my rebelscum profile, which is where I've been conducting most of my active research. I've only made a handful of posts and everything there is directly related to this pilots business. http://forum.rebelscum.com/users/52807/ :) No... I 've neve brought that many of them. I actually bought around 4 or 5 of them from an advance seller before that micro fighter got released for around £5 each. I then put the helmets on the older Rebel torsos and sold them as a group of pilots. I actually just picked up another torso/legs/head for around £2.30 from a UK seller so I'm just waiting for a new helmet for that. Ah, no worries. Of course there's going to be a different minifigure selection. I'm sure we'll get Mace windu again, but that's just me assuming. This is disappointing. The only reason why I could imagine there being another Mace would be inclusion of dual moulded legs to simulate Jedi boots. Though I'm biased since I already have him from ROTS with Palpatines Arrest. I really wish that Star Wars minifigs had dual moulded legs, considering that knee high boots seem to be the universal choic of footwear in the galaxy. C-3PO's dodgy right leg printing is the perfect example of this problem, the cut off leg prints are a bit of an eyesore. Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Here's a link to a website with a picture of the finalizer polybag set - http://www.thebrickfan.com/two-new-lego-star-wars-the-force-awakens-polybag-images-found/ That Death Star II in the background is even lazier than the star destroyers on the box art of obi-wan's Jedi interceptor, what were they thinking? Kylo ren's shuttle polybag is a massive disappointment, still grey? Still the huge lower wing and no folding out wings (from what can be seen)? I've noticed that pretty much all of the force awakens sets have huge accuracy problems, whether it be scale, proportions, colour or functionality, even the resistance transport is the wrong colour, and that came out this year! I do hope that with the Ep VIII sets they can revisit some of the vehicles and improve them. Edited January 4, 2016 by LordLEGOtube Quote
Legomaster34 Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I'm really excited for this new Turbo Tank. It's always been one of my favorite Star Wars vehicles, but I've sadly missed out on getting the set both times. Can't wait until some images surface! Quote

Did you see the Death Star II in the background?!! Quote
Aethersprite Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 As long as the CTT doesn't have Kashyyyk clones, I'm fine. I love those, but we have so many of them already! It'd be nice to see some variation. Quote

We had them in 1 set as of right now and that was a battlepack... Next up is 1 Standard Kashyyyk Clone in the new Homing Spider Droid.... how is that "so many" ?? Quote

Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Just thinking: how likely are we to get a Resistance X-Wing this summer if the Rogue One movie will no doubt have one? Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I think Rogue One takes place between III and IV so I don't think so. Quote
Bricky Dee Williams Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I think Rogue One takes place between III and IV so I don't think so. I did not know that, honestly. I just remember reading on BrickAlliance's page that a false "preliminary image" contained a set we could likely get in the future, the Resistance X-wing. (The one scaled down for the Microfighters) Quote
Artanis I Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Also: WTF? Set prices are WAY over what we'd been led to believe. $90 for Takodana? $110 for Resistance Transport? Ghostbusters HQ is $500! If this isn't a website screwup, and these are final prices, I've just been priced out of the hobby. BAHAHAHAHA You guys. I got a real kick out of that! They are the Australian prices, welcome to my world. Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I hope this resistance x-wing set has learned from all the mistakes of poe's with the wing design, hopefully it'll also have that turret on the bottom from the start of the movie. Quote
