I did the same by buying 2 3POs to open and one to keep in the bag as a collectible.

I like this general minifig as long as it's not the May 4th fig. I'd love to get at least 3 of them to populate my FO collection but maybe change out the heads on two of them so they don't look the same (this is the Clone era after all  ).

I got my TFA 3PO when I went to get my Stormtrooper Sergeant, which they had none of so they offered 3PO for a penny.

A few weeks later I found the Stormtrooper on the pegs so I grabbed two, though every TRU I've been in has had tons of C-3PO.

Hi Guys,

If any of you in the UK like me have been watching 75139 'Battle of Takodana' and 75140 'Resistance Troop Transport' (or any other Lego set or sets totalling over 50 quid) on Amazon, and waiting for their prices to drop to a more reasonable figure then now is a pretty good day to grab one...

Amazon has a deal for today only (22nd Jan) if you use the code 'BIGTHANKS' at the checkout you'll get a tenner of an order of over fifty!

75140 has just dropped to 57.94, so in total you'll get it for 47.94! a saving of over 20%

I know this isn't technically about a rumour or picture, and sorry to those outside the UK, but I just wanted to spread this time sensitive deal amongst my fellow fans, I will delete this post tomorrow.

Its worth noting that the First Order General actually has metallic printing on his left arm, a small ranking stripe. Its not all boring! Its actually pretty cool. Absolutely no idea why this isnt on the polybag image.

Is it Numberag(sorry if I spelled it wrong) or new york that we get pictures?

Nuremberg. Maybe London if someone's sneaky enough but I doubt it.

Kind of off topic, but when can we start openly talking about spoilers? Feb?

Nuremburg toy fair has permitted photography before, but lately it's been sketchy. I would expect pictures there, but not like new York toy fair which will allow photography.

The Force Awakens.

It's been a month and five days since the film came out, and unless the three people who haven't seen it are on here, I see no reason why not. People have talked about things such as Luke's presence, but I see no problem with it. Jangbricks had a restriction for his comments until January.

This is actually quite funny. LEGO named this minifigure 'First Order General', but the only item signifying the rank of a general is the black cap. The uniform is of a colonel/major, although the colour is wrong (it should be teal or turquoise), and the armband is of an admiral (because of the red stripes). So only the cap and maybe the overall black colour of his uniform are correct for a general (however, black coloured uniforms are also worn by sergeants/squad leaders...).

Therefore, it may well be that LEGO just did not get this one right, or this minifigure may in fact be what a First Order Admiral looks like, or funnily enough, this minifigure is the "ultimate First Order Officer", or something along those lines. :)

All this (un)intentional confusion makes this minifigure interesting, even intriguing for me, and I will definitely be getting one or two, if not for the whole minifigure, then at least for the individual parts.

Spoilers for sets, as soon as you know anything you should share!

Spoilers for the movie, I'd say it's fair game at this point.

Set descriptions!

Star Wars

A bit of a letdown this year, with repeated builds and uninspired new vehicles from the lego sw tv show. Lots of minifigs here were obscured and/or not named, including on the calendar.

  • 75145 Eclipse Fighter – £34.99
    2 minifigs
  • 75147 Star Scavenger – £49.99
4 minifigs, comes with a salvage mini vehicle.
  • 75148 Encounter on Jakku – £49.99
The scene from Force Awakens where Teedo on a Luggabeast snares BB-8 (that’s a ridiculous sentence). comes with Unkar Plutt, Rey, BB-8, Teedo and a brick built luggabeast.
  • 75149 Resistance x-wing fighter – £79.99
    4 minifigs. basically a recolouring of 75102
  • 75150 Darth Vadar’s Tie Advanced – £29.99
Comes with a solid looking tie advanced and an A-wing that shoots. 4 minifigs.
  • 75151 clone turbo tank – £99.99
built-in handle and some decent suspension. 6 minifigs.
  • 75147 Captain Rex’s AT-TE walker – £99.99
5 minifigs. complete rebuild from previous versions. more robust.

£49.99 for the Luggerbeast????? Either that set has some other features to it or it is seriously oversized and overpriced!

It also has the marketplace area where Rey sells parts to Unkar.

That isn't as bad then although it still strikes me as quite expensive, depending on the scale of the Market. Thank you for clearing that up for me :)

The Jakku set sounds amazing  I thought they'd either release a set based on the market scene or the one with Teedo and the Luggabeast, but combining the two of them is a fantastic choice, can't wait to see pictures at the NYTF  Too bad though there's apparently no third TFA set...
