Is there some kind of rule that a battle droid has to be in every advent calendar? The even slipped IG-88 into the last one to cover that slot! White Chewbacca looks alright, but with that head on a regular body it wouldn't look quite right to how snowy Chewbacca looks in the movie.

"Snowtrooper" snowman looks more like an imperial general's helmet. The Bespin guard makes me feel much better about not getting UCS Slave One.

Sabine blue hair confirmed! There appears to be no helmet... lol. :)

The camber of the A Wing wings is nice... but 1 stud thick? Hmmm...

Love the smaller size of the Turbo Tank. For those of us that are space poor - that's just the ticket.

By contrast Rex's AT-TE looks big... maybe just the angle? Awwww.... no Big Bongo!! (joopa) :cry_sad:

Jakku build is... surprisingly substantial. Wow, I'm very impressed TLG. Awnings and a few vendor spaces it looks like. Maybe even Plutt's portion station?? Outstanding. Maybe we'll get those portion pieces after all!

EDIT:

Just saw the video... Teedo has an elongated head!

Here's a closer look at the Turbo Tank

Wait.

Descriptions of the sets (at Brickset) had to be taken down because LEGO asked for that.....pix were not allowed by LEGO...........but a video presentation is ok???? I don't get it......

According to Brickset, 75148 Encounter on Jakku will cost $80 American, 75147 Star Scavenger will cost $70 American, 75150 TIE Advanced and A-wing will cost $100 American, and 75151 Clone Turbo Tank as well as 75157 AT-TE are both $130 each. Good God.

Good god is right. $80 US for Encounter on Jakku? That's already crazy and I'm from Canada so can you imagine what it'll cost with the Canadian Dollar so low?

That's 20 more than the Takodana set (which I bought even though its overpriced). This one looks like it has the same amount of pieces and has a less good minifig lineup.

Also if you look at it that way the grey 3PO is next to a brown Gonk and what looks like Lars homestead, could it be EP1 3PO?

Did any of us really expect the prices to be reasonable?? Start lowering (raising?) your expectations.

Or just get another job... one just to fund this wave of Lego!

That little dinky vaporator on Jakku (X Wing) is pretty minimal, though. Glad I'm not in the market for another ST-era X Wing.

Well, it appears that TLG are going to give me a Christmas that I've long dreamt of! A Bespin Guard, plus what looks rather like an E-3PO, in the Advent Calendar - that's got to be a good indication that we're destined for some Cloudy City sets! I'm going to be buying multiples of this, great work TLG! :classic:

Yeah. I was tempted to pick up some of the Bespin Guards recently on the aftermarket to make up some ethnically diverse guards as per Kenner figures but it looks like I won't have to now.

After seeing the video I am pretty certain now that I will not(!) get the Clone Turbo Tank. With a retail price of 130 dollars (meaning 130 Euros of course :hmpf_bad: ) that is not nearly enough.

It is a lot more expensive than the last two Turbo Tanks but a lot smaller? What are they doing? The suspension looks to be decent, but everything else is a big letdown. It is as inaccurate and even more stubby than the first versions, extremely hollow and ugly from the inside (+Sniper/Scout-Tower looks pathetic). Minifigs are uninteresting to me, but that said I just dont get why theres another Gree in the set since we got one already with the AT-AP.

So yeah, that set is now gone from my wanted list, now only the Resistance X-Wing remaining and maaaaybe the TIE Advanced/A-Wing.

That A-Wing is hideous.

Wow, you think? I really like its looks even though i am not a fan of the A-Wing in general. Interesting how much taste can differ I guess

I need your optimism, good sir. These are salient observations.

Just realized how crazy blue that luggabeast is!

Wow, I'm kinda priced out on this wave. The cheapest set is really $70? What happened to the $20-40 price point?

Are other theme's summer waves this spendy?

No information on how expensive the X-Wing is going to be?

Besides, I would treat those prices still a bit with care, since we still dont know how many parts its going to be for the sets. But I do agree that just by the looks of it its going to be a good bit overpriced.
