benderisgreat Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Straight from NYTF: 75157 Rex's AT-TE has 972 pcs, I'm not so sure it's 120$ now. 100$ sounds more reasonable. Also Encounter on Jakku has 530 pcs, not such good value for 80$ indeed. Quote
Silverwolf28 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Is the Imperial droid included with this set? I would love to get this set as I only have the hoth set with the speeder bike. Though It would be nice if more included to justify $250. Then again if more were added the price would be more. Quote
tafkatb Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Encounter on Jakku is $60, isn't it? Why did people think it was $80? Quote
Silverwolf28 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I thought Encounter with Jakku was $50. Quote

Mymaker123 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Hey guys -- I went and wrote a bunch of articles for http://www.brickshow.tv/ with pics from all the new themes. The sites currently overloaded with traffic, but as soon as I can get back in I'll upload the HD Hoth images and tell you guys. Edited February 13, 2016 by Mymaker123 Quote
analogkid81 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Here are some more pictures and the designer video. http://www.usatoday.com/story/life/movies/2016/02/13/exclusive-star-wars-lego-set-assault-on-hoth/80317552/ Just watched the video and I think kids are going to love this. Lots of cool play features and you can really recreate the battle on Hoth. Also great attention to detail by the designers. As an adult who displays Lego and doesn't sit there and play with them, it's not that great. Definitely going to pass on this for me but my kids would love it (if it wasn't expensive) ;) Quote
Juke Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 It's on the brick fan http://www.thebrickfan.com Quote
Pulp Detective Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Meh the x-wing looks like a re-paint of poe's x-wing,a skip for me.Concerning the other sets especially the "hammerhead" ship look surprisingly good. Quote
analogkid81 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 It's on the brick fan http://www.thebrickfan.com The set wasn't on display at toy fair, so we will have to wait for real life pictures and not PR ones from Lego. Quote
Juke Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 I'm still waiting for the vaders tie advance vs awing photos Quote
analogkid81 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Or any actual set photos for that matter. All I've seen are box photos so far. Quote

Juke Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 The set wasn't on display at toy fair, so we will have to wait for real life pictures and not PR ones from Lego. True, but the photos still give us more then the box did Quote
Silverwolf28 Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Updated with set prices. Jakku for $60 is a lot better than the rumored $80 Good. I'll definitely be getting Jakku. I wanted the Resistance Xwing and Tie Fighter/A Wing too but don't know I can do an extra $170. Quote
CM4Sci Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 (edited) Why are there white stand ins? There are physical figures from Germany and factory leaks, why why why? I like the broken Battle Droid in Jakku. I'll give it that. New Chewie looks cool, but why does the silver C3PO have black/dark grey hands? Edited February 13, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote

benderisgreat Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Updated with set prices. Jakku for $60 is a lot better than the rumored $80 Phew, prices are a bit better than I expected. Definitely buying Encounter on Jakku now! Vaders TIE is still kinda overpriced but I wanted an updated Sabine and Vaders TIE advanced, so nothing changed and I'm still buying it. Rex's AT-TE is the most overpriced set of them all but at 120 $ it's a better value, so I will buy it as well. Quote

wesker Posted February 13, 2016 Posted February 13, 2016 Shame so many of the minifigures are placeholders. Dengar and the Fifth Brother look pretty cool though and I'm glad to see Vader is in his ANH/Rebels costume. Tarkin's new face is a nice improvement but I'm still not fond of the hair/uniform colour, although I'm sure we'll be seeing a more movie accurate version in the Death Star later this year. Quote
