Sneakguest Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 It was never a legit rumor, just wish-listing. Most people are betting it will be a TFA or Rebels related character. Also possibly Hoth Leia to go with the UCS. But there is already a Leia in the seth! Quote
Borex Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I don't like the legs that go along with him. It's too much a clash with the refine lines of the torso and head. But i do like the torso and head. They look not really Star Warsy so you can use them in all kinda ways. As zombi, his torso for a hobo, a scooby monster, and he has also has a bit of a superhero feel (maybe as a spider man clone by jackal?) Quote
Junior Shark Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Re: Unkar's Brute. It's OK, but my first impression upon seeing it was of the Ra'zac from the absolutely terrible Eragon movie. Not really sure how I can remove that connection from my head. Edited February 26, 2016 by Junior Shark Quote
Venkefedo Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 That Unkar's Thug figure should have been included in the Encounter on Jakku set. I think that would have made it a bit more worth the $60 price tag. Yeah, definitely... But there is already a Leia in the seth! Nope, that's Toryn Farr in the UCS Hoth set. There was a Leia in the 2011 set, however. Quote
Forresto Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) Theory just to have it written down in case it's true, May the 4th figure will be Ponda Baba. He was briefly in the background of the most recent Lego TFA animation as well as the only non physically produced figures in the video. With ANH anniversary coming soon, and with another New Hope character being the figure last year I would bet they continue the trend. Re: Unkar's Brute. It's OK, but my first impression upon seeing it was of the Ra'zac from the absolutely terrible Eragon movie. Not really sure how I can remove that connection from my head. No one why would you even bring that up now the figure is ruined for me. That's okay I was never interested in it to begin with Edited February 26, 2016 by Forresto Quote

Artanis I Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I like the minifig. Perfect to go with the Jakku sets, useful parts for fantasy castle or desert-based mocs. Of course, there are other characters we may have had otherwise that would've been more interesting or useful, but I'm not going to complain about some more "no names" Quote

npgcole Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) I wouldn't get my hopes up for Ponda Baba. He'd probably require a new headpiece mould, and exclusive promo minifigs never have new moulds in them. At least, they never have before, anyway. Edited February 26, 2016 by npgcole Quote
wesker Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I'm kind of impartial on the figure. Its nice to be able to get another character to fill out the Jakku scene, but as a minifigure he looks kind of bland and probably should've been included in the Encounter on Jakku set instead of being a promotional figure. Brickus Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) I thought the 5004406 First Order General polybag was the May the 4th figure? Edited February 26, 2016 by Brickus Quote

Squarefoot_Calrissian Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Hoth Leia for May 4th makes sense kind of like the new Batcave and classic Mr. Freeze I'd be ok with that as long as the printing is top notch Quote
wesker Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Hoth Leia for May 4th makes sense kind of like the new Batcave and classic Mr. Freeze I'd be ok with that as long as the printing is top notch I'm not too worried about the printing. The previous Hoth Leia was already near perfect. Aside from leg printing and using the 2015 face there's nothing else they can really do to improve her. Quote
Sneakguest Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) <p>Oh thats shitty, i wouldn't mind pretend like it's Leia just to avoid getting her as may the fourth figure, that would be soooo dissapointing Edited February 26, 2016 by Sneakguest Quote
Cyberfounder Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 Sorry if this has already been posted - I'm willing to bet the Unkars Brute minifigure divides opinion! http://www.starwars....xclusive-reveal I must have missed those zombies in TFA... Quote
Robianco Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 I think the existing Hoth Leia is pretty much perfect except for the head change (20p on B&P) and maybe having leg print as someone has already stated. Besides that there's not much that can be changed on that figure. If Toryn Farr's legs appear on B&P then that would pretty much finish the figure off. I don't think there's any reason to pine for that figure when those two elements would update the existing version perfectly. Quote
Jedi-Bendu Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 TLG is really getting lazy. First the UCS 4-in-1 Hoth disaster and now the crappiest exclusive ever. The other figs that came with books were great (I got 'em all!) But this....... Show a Star Wars fan the other book exclusives: medal Han/Luke....or white Fett....or the Emperor! All will immediately recognize them as Star Wars figs. The majority wouldn't recognize this one as a Star Wars fig. Quote
strangely Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) I must have missed those zombies in TFA... Me too, but I do think I saw this guy in an episode of Scooby Doo. Maybe there's a zipper printed on the back... Edited February 26, 2016 by strangely Quote
TheBear Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 He was briefly in the background of the most recent Lego TFA animation as well as the only non physically produced figures in the video. Which video is that? Quote
Forresto Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 (edited) More evidence we may be getting a Ponda Baba figure, theres a mini figure in the same crowd shot from the UCS Hoth set which I don't believe had been announced yet. So technically this movie already teased a mini figure that was coming up in a future set. This: *snip* Thanks Edited February 26, 2016 by Forresto Quote
Robianco Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 4-Lom appeared as himself in a video around a year ago but there's no sign of him anywhere. I'd take appearances in these videos at face value and not automatically assume they're a sign of imminent release. Quote
Raskolnikov Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 The video of the Aqualish/Ponda Baba is very encouraging, great find! I've always thought that we'd eventually get an Aqualish head of some kind that people can use with their cantina scenes, even if it's not officially Ponda Baba. Not a big fan of the Unkar's thug, as I just don't think he looks very "Star Wars," as others have mentioned. I do like the idea of using exclusives like that to "fill in the gaps" of missing figures, though -- the kinds of figures who may not be included in a set otherwise (i.e., Yularen). There's a 100% chance of getting an old Luke eventually, so we really don't need to get it in an exclusive. 4-Lom appeared as himself in a video around a year ago but there's no sign of him anywhere. The RA-7 Protocol Droid that came out a little while ago is not exactly the same, but it's a pretty good 4-Lom substitute. Quote
