SuperSith Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 If they do tackle the Sith Temple on Malachor for the Summer exclusive set, it'd be interesting to see how the set turns out. Would it have an "open" design like Palpatine's Arrest and Death Star Final Duel? Or would it have an enclosed design like Attack on Avengers Tower and The Lighthouse Siege? Personally, I would prefer the latter. Either way, there will probably be a lot of stickers involved! Quote
Captain Nemo Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I do hope that we end up getting some exclusive Ahsoka/Rebels set this summer. It would seem like a missed opportunity, since the Rebels sets thus far, and even the ones coming out in Spring, are largely based on the early half of season 2--so they missed all the good stuff! On a potential Ahsoka set: I would hope that it would include Ahsoka, Vader, Seventh Sister, Kanan, Ezra, and Maul. Considering we are getting the Fifth Brother, I think the Seventh Sister is likely to be included: assuming the set is based on Twilight of the Apprentice. Kanan could be dropped if need be, since he's already in a cheap set, but largely that's all you need to reenact it. Most of all though, I'd love to get the Sith Temple. It would be great if it were built like the pyramid from the Pharaoh's Quest line. Quote

That'd be great, but I feel like such a set would be too good to be true, especially since Vader is a big selling point of the upcoming A Wing vs Tie Advanced Rebels set. Unless it is another A Wing, which would be awful, I'm still expecting a Blockade Runner set (hopefully with Seventh Sister included) and then we'll just have to wait for Rebels Maul in a future set Quote

Dragonlego27 Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 It's still coming, don't worry guys :) I don't suppose our Bothan spies could give us at least an idea of the size of this set, so we've got something to speculate on? Quote
benderisgreat Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 While I loved this finale of Rebels season 2, I doubt retail exclusive set could be temple on Malachor. It's simply too big ! And why all of a sudden everyone thinks it's this temple? For all we now it could be something completely different. Quote
ChiefPie Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) I can't wait to see the Ahsoka minifig! I just hope they do a good job! Edited March 31, 2016 by ChiefPie Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 I've only been told that she is the main selling point, which could mean a lackluster set. But I'm looking forward to it. Quote
Fives Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Why not a Malachor Sith Temple set? One big, almost castle sized set, with Kanan, Ezra, Ahsoka, Vader and Maul. Yes, I know thats a bit of a dream set, but one large set may give LEGO the justification to make one-off molds and prints such as Maul's saber and perhaps and Jedi Temple Guard helmet, along with other things. Also, after seeing the finale, I'm even more curious about the face TLG will have used for the Rebels Vader fig coming this summer. Quote
Artizan Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 we didn't even get a Jedi Temple set yet since 1999, which has been featured in all prequel movies, ROTJ special edition and through many episodes of the Clone Wars. Quote

Maybe if it wasn't exclusive set than there was a chance, but it's not happening. But who's to say that one of January 2017 sets won't be Malachor temple? Quote
Agent Kallus Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) I doubt that they would make the sith temple it would probably be a ship or vehicle from series 2 part one for the retail exclusive. Edited March 31, 2016 by AgentKallus of Hydra Quote
Darth Caedus Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Right, now I definitely feel that if Ahsoka isn't in the summer exclusive, we won't be seeing her minifigure in the distant future, as Filoni said in a IGN interview that her story is finished in Rebels (even though he's being deliberately ambiguous about her fate, Grrr...) Don't worry, that is just Filoni BSing the fans to keep things mysterious. Rebels is the highest profile media outside of the films, and Ahsoka is THE most popular non-theatrical character. Her story can ONLY be continued in Rebels (or some other animated show, but that'd be too far off) unless she's actually making the jump to the films, which seems doubtful. Bottom line: Ahsoka's story absolutely will continue in Rebels unless she's slated to pop up in Rogue One or some other pre-ANH film. I like the idea, but I think they'd leave Vader and Kanan out since they are one of the main draws to their respective sets this year. Also, does Lego make 3D baseplates anymore? I could maybe see Vader being left out, especially if they elected to put in both Eighth Brother and Seventh Sister. But Kanan would be a logical inclusion with a new face (blindfolded). Vader theoretically could appear if they went the extra mile to give him helmet damage (which would require either incredibly detailed printing, or a tweaked mold, neither of which I find likely at all. Junior Shark Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 (edited) I doubt that they would make the sith temple it would probably be a ship or vehicle from series 2 part one for the retail exclusive. Yep. Lego doesn't like giving us Star Wars playsets anymore. I hope the glorious Sith temple would never have to suffer such an ignominious end as this: Her story can ONLY be continued in Rebels (or some other animated show, but that'd be too far off) I don't know about that- I think the possibility of an Ahsoka comic is very strong. My money's on the Seventh Sister being in the set with Ahsoka (fingers crossed at least), since we're getting the Fifth Brother in the AT-TE set. Ahsoka and the Sister being together would hopefully mean a vehicle/location from the Finale or The Future of the Force. Or Lego could just put them in something totally random, like the Fifth Brother in the AT-TE and Tarkin and Sabine in the A-Wing. My money's on the latter scenario. Junior Shark Posted March 31, 2016 Posted March 31, 2016 Well there is a Ahsoka book coming October. Yep. But that's not a continuation of her story after the events of the Finale. It's a prequel to her first appearance in Rebels. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Unless it's a placeholder, right? Why would an old minifigure be bundled with the brand-new movie? That's why I'm surprised, it would be neat as I didn't get the old minifigure. Quote

jhaelego Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 As much as I'd like to get that Tantive IV style rebel trooper, I imagine it's probably a placeholder. Unless someone in a lego warehouse found a bunch of them and they need to get rid of them lol. I half way expect them to ship with angry clone face. Quote
Darth Caedus Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 Has to be a placeholder - that's the old style of Rebel face. Quote
Artizan Posted April 1, 2016 Posted April 1, 2016 I am 100% sure that Ahsoka will not appear in Rogue One since it has been stated that it will be the first Sw movie without any force users. Quote
