I'm feeling like these are early versions, or as Sci said, place holders. In the recent years, LEGO has been super protective of showing off new licensed minifigures because bootleggers copy the designs. Hence why minifigures on boxes are blacked out at Toy Fairs (even though they're there in person) and in catalogs and whatnot.

Reminds me off the early versions we saw for prince of persia.

Early? I'd love to add that to my folder of LEGO prelim stuff.

E: Wow that is early - thank god that hair piece was introduced even if it's reused.

I want a new ponytail for Jyn, I love new ponytail pieces. With bangs in front. I feel like a different hair could work for the guy in the back right, too. I'm sure we'll see a few new pieces with these guys. They're not.. that bad.

Are the torso prints new?

Yeah, those torso prints are most definitely new. But that's no indication those are the official ones. If we got trans-clear goggles on a mini figure, I would be over-the-moon ecstatic.:excited:

I just don't know what to think about the poster. On the one hand, there's:

- The goggles attached directly to the hair. That's an illegal connection.

- The samurai dude to the right has a recolored Jek-14 head. ?!?

- Diego Luna's incredibly wrong hair.

On the other hand:

- Those prints look pretty legit. Not legit "cool", but legit as in plausible.

- Red-armored dude's FO Flametrooper-style backpack attachment. That seems like the most sensible way to have that on a minifigure.

My internal jury's still out as to whether or not Lego would actually re-use Han's pants.

I think, other than the hair-goggle combo, none of these characters really need new molds, so I'd be fine if these were real. However, I do agree that they're probably placeholders because of the replicated parts (Han's pants, Sabine's head, Jek 14's head in a different skin tone). It's weird that LEGO put this out so early though. It gives me hope that they won't be as secretive with these sets as they were with the ones from The Force Awakens.

Remember, this is just a CG illustration... like the Lego "cast readthru" pic from TFA.

Diego's hair color is wrong (and the hair seems to be a mirrored "short tousled" Mutt/Old Man Han hair), but maybe it'll kill some of the "He's Biggs!" rumors... Jyn's hair should be dark brown, not reddish brown... lots of other problems of various types, of course. Aside from maybe some of the torso prints, I'm not sure this'll reflect much of what we see in the official sets at all. They can make better choices for a lot of 'em; armored-backpack guy might do better with Thorin hair, or black Qui-Gon hair. I wouldn't mind seeing the Hoth Hat in that sand blue or whatever it is...

Bottom line, fun illustration, but probably not very representative of what we'll see in the official sets.

Other sites have described this as 'fan art' that leg have put on their fb page, so may explain all the reused parts.

Excellent quality rendering though!
