Artanis I Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Two, that would be really complicated to print... I dunno how much LEGO could print on a helmet, but still. Also, would you do a minifig hand or a human hand? There was this for LOTR: Quote
Hokierespect Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Of the UCS sets that are currently for sale on the Lego shop site, what will be the order that they will be removed from the market? I assume the Red Five X wing is gone and never coming back. I also assume that the danceable is next because that is out of stock. After that will the wok village disappear before slave 1? If I could only get one ucs set right now (already have the tie) which would it be? Quote

jhaelego Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Lego did a Bloody anakin figure for ROTS, then another with his like burned flesh. I could see them doing finn with the blood streaks. I imagine it will come in a jakku set with more villagers, stormies, etc. Quote

DarthPotato Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Interesting how the Death Star Final Duel is the only summer 2015 set not on sale. I guess that means it's selling so well that they're confident people will continue to buy it at full price. The two TFA battle packs being on sale is pretty nice. I'm sure those will be out of stock within a day though. Quote

I'm sure those will be out of stock within a day though. Why so serious about that? Just check all Lego-selling stores regularly & you might get lucky. For instance - I do that, despite the strange looks I receive & got sets I would have never bought otherwise: Tyderium for 30 $ a few weeks ago, Z-95 for 20 $. Especially because of the 3rd wave we received last year, many stores (at least where I live..) were overwhelmed and threw the sets from former waves out of the window (metaphorically speaking). So what about the Ahsoka set? Is it 100 % sure that she will reuse her old mold? Maybe the person has the information just saw a prelim? Quote
Hokierespect Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 The what? The big brown desert truck that carries the droids around in. Quote
Hokierespect Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 You mean the Sandcrawler. Yes, will it be the next set to be retired by Lego? Quote
analogkid81 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 I would say that and Ewok Village are highly likely this year as they are the oldest. Quote
Hokierespect Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Of the UCS sets that exist, what is your ranking of their long term investment potential? Appears the MF would be first. Tie fighters and X wings would probably come next. East useful as an investment, in my opinion would be the playlets and figures/faces. Somewhere in between would be the unique, but not ubiquitous, sets like the sand crawler and slave 1. Thoughts? Quote
JekPorkchops Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Ahsoka will still have the same head piece she had in CW sets, but don't worry, she apparently is the standout minifigure of the set. That gets me excited, but that leads me to thinking it's going to be a lackluster set. We already discussed why both her old headpiece and the Shaak Ti headpiece wouldn't work on her new minifig, but I found another reason: the old piece has her Akul tooth headdress moulded into it, which she doesn't have anymore. I'd be very disappointed with the minifig if they do reuse the old piece, so I hope you don't have confirmation on that yet. I don't believe it can still be the standout minifigure if they screw that part up. Quote
slenos Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Kind of disappointing that none of the UCS sets are on sale for May 4th. I was hoping to get atleast a little discount on the ewok village. Quote

HawkLord Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Of the UCS sets that exist, what is your ranking of their long term investment potential? Yea, Lego are toys not "investment potential"... As for the May 4th sale, some aren't bad. At least Takodano and Sith Infiltrator are close to what their original MSRP should have been. Some of the other smaller sets could be nice to pick up, like the Flash Speeder. Quote
Hokierespect Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 2. Wrong forum buddy. How? Questions about the future seem to be right for this forum. Yea, Lego are toys not "investment potential"... slenos Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 True I was kind of hoping for 75135 to be on sale as well but probably has the same situation as final duel where it must sell well enough anyways without a discount. Quote
Ookami Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Guys, I want to know - will the new sets be released somewhere in June or should they be expected in August. I know, that pictures from NYTF showed them as August sets, but that's also for other LEGO themes. However, recently I discovered, that in my local store some themes like City and Nexo Knights will be released in June. Unfortunately I forgot to ask about Star Wars. By the way, it is reasonable to release them in June, because it will be 6 months since the release of the 1st wave in January. Quote
Markalus Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 How? Questions about the future seem to be right for this forum. Future set releases yes. But that wasn't your question. I suggest you head over to brickpicker for advice/discussion on Lego "investing". Quote

DarthTwoShedsJackson Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 (edited) So what about the Ahsoka set? Is it 100 % sure that she will reuse her old mold? Maybe the person has the information just saw a prelim? As long as we don't know anything to the contrary, I'd say it'd be much more likely they will make a new mold. The Shaak Ti-mold has the montrals shaped very differently to Ahsoka's, and the lekku are longer than adult Ahsoka's from REBELS. As for using the Clone Wars mold: This would be even more wrong. The montrals are not even remotely pronounced enough, and the lekku way too short. This was used for the teenage Ahsoka. Also, the tiara molded on the Clone Wars head piece is completely different in design to what adult Ahsoka is wearing in REBELS. This is, for the time being, the last chance we get an adult REBELS-version of Ahsoka, and this is the chance for Lego to produce a stunning minifig-version of a beloved character - my single most-anticipated minifig since I came out of my dark ages. If they drop the ball on this, I'd be very, very disappointed. So, unless anyone can actually provide actual evidence in the form of pics, not just prelims, can people please stop bullshitting us with ambiguous, uninformed or ignorant claims as to how this minifig will turn out - that'd be much appreciated.
