So, we all know that only the front torso printing is exclusive to this May the Fourth minifig, because of the two extra pouches near the chest and the smaller three white… rectangular… things on the vest. But I spotted another difference and it is so mind-blowing that it gives me an incentive to get this figure right away: on the regular Heavy Gunner from the battle pack, you can see a little bit of his regular white stormtrooper belt near the hips, underneath the vest. On the new figure, the vest has been lowered just a tiny bit, so you cannot see said white belt printing. Amazing!

Is this a sarcasm?

Just visited the "event".

No discount on 75098.

I got the space slug set, the ploybag Stormtrooper and Polybag "First Order General", the poster E VII and a special design poster of Hoth.

Great, nice little set..

So does this mean the first order general will have a much wider release now like c3po? Lots of them are being put up on bricklink now but still at scalpers prices.

And this relates to a 2016 rumor of a set....how? Let's be sure we are posting in the correct threads please.

I must say, I agree with many of you, Assault on Hoth left me disappointed too. But the discussion seems to be going in a complaint of the May the Fourth items and how lazy LEGO was in designing a 'basic' figure for a promo. Again, let's keep the discussion on the new sets and rumors for this year please. Thanks.

2016 will be remembered as the year with a horrible UCS set (hopefully DS makes up for it) and an equally disappointing May the 4th figure but a fantastic store exclusive (Escape the Space Slug.)

Does the Escape from the Space Slug even count as an actual set with the 2016 lineup or is the set it's own special entity?

"Escape the Space Slug" set instructions (inc. a full Parts list) are available via the following link: https://dl.dropboxus...nstructions.pdf

Courtesy of Yodalego @ Brickset; all credit goes to this admirable LEGO fan!

Bricklinking this set comes out to between £20-25 (inc. p+p); much less than either a minimum spend of £100 with LEGO or the extortionate prices of eBay : )

Brickset just published a review of Unkarr's Brute that's exclusive to the Lego Star Wars Chronicles of the Force Book.

As it turns out a pretty cool figure, in fact I would say a lot more interesting then the Unkarr thug we got in Rey's Speeder.

It's over by now. Missed your chance!

To begin with, I am a vip member but didn't get the email. Does everyone who is a vip member get the email or is it selected members only?

From what I understand, I think you had to spend a certain amount though the year to get invited.

I watched BrickVaults review of the space slug and they said it was available to those who filled out some kind of survey so I'm not sure which is officially the way to have been invited.

The Unkar's Brute minifigure is a lot more interesting than the actual May the Fourth promo, but he's a little plain. Still a nice one to add to the collection, especially with Encounter on Jakku coming up.

I got last years Sith Infiltrator with 10% off and a free stormie. Honestly, even with all of the negativity I still want both this stormtrooper and the Assault on Hoth. I completely bashed that set the last few days, but I don't have a Hoth base hangar door yet so this is the closest thing to it. I'll wait till the price will be lowered, which I hope will be the case with all of the negative reception. There's no way I'm paying that outrageous price for such a mediocre playset.

Well, this is pictures and rumors of 2016, and it's a picture of a 2016 set (getting blown up) I actually just thought I'd try to lighten up the hate on Assault on Hoth, but I guess it didn't work.

Nope, did not work.

Guys, please...discuss the upcoming sets, and rumors about those sets. If you are doing that, then no worries, thank you.

Those of you that continue to have off topic discussions about how invites worked to the April 30th event, along with everything else that does not belong in this thread...It will be deleted, hidden, modified, or moved. Thanks.

Well it's curious they put it in a book. Right now it feels like if you want a full Encounter on Jakku, you need that plus this book and Rey's speeder. I don't dislike that tactic on TLG's part as it's reminiscent of the original Jabba's Palace, but I feel they could've released the sets and figure better. In a more conjoined period of time.

I don't really like how the Encounter on Jakku turned out and it's overpriced as well. This has been said before, but I think the thug should've been included in the set, since it needs another figure anyway (and in the early descriptions we got I believe it was stated that there would be a fifth figure).

I just wish the figure was a polybag, and not a book, I don't mind some of the books, but I feel like it's a waste of money on this one.
