ChiefPie Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Maybe or they are troopers based on island/beach planets. Quote
Artanis I Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Maybe it's Pauly Shore dressed as a trooper. He could be "In The Army Now" or something. Quote
physichull Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 No because VAT rates are different in different countries. Belgium has it pretty bad for eg. The problem with these ridiculous prices is that even with the usual Amazon sales, a 30% reduction isn't going to make a grossly overpriced set more attractive for buyers. Im still not biting on some of the TFA first wave sets, despite the sales. Stuff like the X-Wing are still too expensive at 69 euros (c. 30% off, ie). I find the best deals in the UK to wait for the 3 for 2 toys deal at Argos. It always includes Lego. Quote
Borex Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Shoretroopers? Like, stormtroopers just for beaches? I think the LEGO Star Wars games have already beat them to that idea. http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/Beach_Trooper Yeah troopers in bikinis and bermudas and slave leia flashing her boobs. Spring break!! Quote
Bob De Quatre Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Stay on topic: Lego Star Wars 2016. Last warning... Quote

Duncan Young Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 http://www.hothbricks.com/2016/05/nouveau-polybag-lego-star-wars-rebel-a-wing-pilot/ Looks good, will go nicely with the new tie and a-wing (though I assume that was the intention) Quote
Sir von Lego Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Looks good. Not too interesting, but good. As a minifig-collector, this has to be mine, of course. Do we know when and where it will be available? Quote
YellowCorvette Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 The minifigure looks good, but I'm not interested with the promo minifigure since I'm now more interested in the OT/TFA stuffs. Quote
Calanon Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Yep, definitely getting that minifig. Leg printing would have been nice, but oh well. Isn't that an Y-wing helmet? Some Y-wing pilots in RotJ do use that style of flight helmet, as do the B-wing pilots. Some A-wing pilots do too. They are different style of helmets but don't get too hung up on which one matches with which starfighter (besides, only three styled of helmets and five Alliance starfighters in canon). Quote
Slurpifier Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 That A-Wing pilot does look pretty good; any idea what promotion it is apart of? Quote
Supersonic Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 What a shame, that would have been a nice May the 4th promo fig. Quote
Markalus Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I'm loving that A-wing pilot minifig. Is the visor part of the helmet mold? I hope so. It looks like it judging by the yellow bleed into the rim of the helmet. Quote
Juke Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 I'm loving that A-wing pilot minifig. Is the visor part of the helmet mold? I hope so. It looks like it judging by the yellow bleed into the rim of the helmet. To me it looks like it's part of the minifig face Quote
JekPorkchops Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) It looks great! It's definitely the same mold as before, so the visor is printed on the face. I still really like it, though I kinda hoped there would be another A-wing set that had this figure (preferably the blue one with the white arrow from the McQuarrie concept art). The set number of that rumored set still appears on Brickset but the set name has vanished. I guess it won't be coming anymore then, but chances were very slim because of set 75150 anyway. That Orange Thing Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 It's a nice looking fig. Is it meant to be rebels inspired or OT? I guess it works for both looking at it. Quote
Richpepperell Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 That's looking great, will definitely try and grab a few of these. Lack of leg print is a shame, but not surprising as its a 'Rebels' minifigure which tend to be a bit plainer. Can't wait to find out where he'll be available from. Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) I don't really understand that A Wing pilot promo - it's less impressive than the pilot minifigures we've seen in sets for years, it's a step backwards? Edited May 26, 2016 by TheBrickHitHouse Quote
Brickr Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) http://www.hothbrick...l-a-wing-pilot/ If this is from the Rebels series, shouldn't t have the rebels logo on the packaging?I've always loved this style of helmet, really want to get this, just not a rebels fan Edited May 26, 2016 by Brickr Quote
ChiefPie Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Great minifigure! Besides it not having leg printing it's good. I'll definitely try to get that! Quote
makoy Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Looks decent! Now if only TLG can come up with X-Wing pilots in polybags that's going to be more awesome. Quote
ChiefPie Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 It's a nice looking fig. Is it meant to be rebels inspired or OT? I guess it works for both looking at it. It's from Rebels but because TLG made Rebel minifigures have regular printing, it can blend in OT perfectly. Quote
LegoFjotten Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 Figure looks nice, another print for that helmet is always welcome. Must admit that I'm not too excited though, but will certainly pick it up if I get the chance. Quote
Forresto Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 (edited) http://www.hothbrick...l-a-wing-pilot/ TLG...why was this not the May 4th figure?Or in the rebel flagship to give it more unique characters? This is awesome! Does anyone know how it will be available? Edited May 26, 2016 by Lobot : Please don't quote images, thanks :-) Quote
