Pffff... This is stating the bloody obvious. BTW: The sky is blue!

He wasn't a very far developed character since he 'just' appeared in 4 episodes, even though he had a little arc, so I'm fine with him being included in a movie. I just hope (and believe it to be highly unlikely) that they won't include major characters who are exclusive to the animated shows in any movie, because

a) this sort of thing almost always is not favorable for any actor they cast, because he or she will always have to compete with the established animated version,

and b) more importantly, I want such characters to be further developed by the creative crew of the shows and have them all the freedom to do what they plan to do with them, and not be burdened by having to acknowledge some stupid movie appearance of such a character.

What I wonder now is if any character from RO might make an appearance in REBELS later in the upcoming season 3, and whether that season will have tie-ins into RO or not, and if this will be represented in the winter wave Lego sets...

I think any of the clones would be perfectly fine for live action movies actor-wise. I mean, they're all exact clones of Jango. And Ahsoka's voice actor can pull her off pretty well.

True. Still I personally prefer such characters to stay in the shows, because in a show you can (and this has been done brilliantly in man caes with TCW and REBELS) develop characters and their stories much better and they have more space to breathe than within the confines of a 2-hour movie, that's my main concern...

I know that this character's identity was revealed in a major magazine and that its plastered all over the fanboy websites but some of us do our best to avoid spoilers for upcoming movies and shows. It certainly is impossible to not mention some of these spoilers when discussing upcoming sets but those of us who want to stay spoiler-free would appreciate it if folks respect that and be considerate by using the spoiler tags.

They sure don't sound like constraction figures.... Are you sure they are released this year?

Those are the set numbers for the U-Wing, black shuttle thing, and the TIE Striker sets. So yeah I think they're code names..

We already knew the set numbers for every set, though, due to the massive image leak. The only thing left to figure out for sure is the official set names, as far as I know. By the way, the Raven Deluxe is actually the codename for the TIE Striker.

Yeah, yeah, I know, I was just posting these code names that were in the catalog. :shrug_confused:

I know this isn't a rumour, but I just wanted to say I love all the discussion in the run up to the new set releases on force Friday. It gets my excited levels right up, then peaks with just enough time for the excitement to build up again for the film release.

These reveals are not spoilers; they're publicity. There's a difference, even if someone personally considers anything beyond the title & the names of the actors & crew as "spoilers". If you want to avoid publicity, you'll have to just shut off the internet.

Marvel and DC SDCC exclusives just got announced (but not previewed) so here's hoping we see what Lego does for Star Wars soon.

Bring it on!

Atom from The CW, tho (Arrow, Flash, Legends of Tomorrow), just to clarify. Don't mind that one so much (at least until I see it!), but the new Cap costume being an exclusive bugs me (just like Falcon-as-Cap from last year bugged me... supporting TV characters might work, and obscure variants of characters might work, but not "Hey, this is the new hyped look for this character! Let's make it nearly impossible to own!") At least they don't do this with SW characters really... "Oh, you guys wanted Bespin Luke? Here you go, SDCC exclusive! Wait, there's more, here's Bespin Lando, too!" :sceptic:

I do agree that if you want to avoid spoilers you should stay away from this discussion page, but let's be polite about it please.

I would be incredibly grateful if we could find out about and discuss the Lego sets not relevant to Rogue One (ie most of them) without having to read movie spoilers. This is going to happen every year for the foreseeable future. We're still 6 months away from movie release - that's a long time to not read this important thread, and Star Wars is the only current theme I'm interested in (not that that matters).

But the sets themselves are spoilers.

TFA, CW, Rebels, PT, OT Lego sets are not spoilers for Rogue One.

Rogue One set/minifig pictures are spoilers for Rogue One, and talking about the movie content (be it plot, character, faction, vehicle, troop variant whatever) is even more so - even though it may be in regard to the Lego sets/minifigs (and to be in this thread it HAS to). If I was not into SW Lego I could go to the movie knowing nothing but the title and a brief glance at a poster - not even cast. I don't even watch promotional preview videos (I believe the current popular-albeit-nonsensical term is "trailer"). But the hobby dictates - I must buy buy buy all of the Lego until the world has ended :enough: , so I see the Lego photos while trying to avoid any character or plot points that could be inferred. Just saying that it would be nice to keep it down to that somehow (and there are plenty of others who feel the same, and those who would like to take it even further), and still be up to date with things like the new Death Star and any other new sets from the first sentence. If the staff want to separate the topics or impose spoiler tags that could be helpful, otherwise they'll just suggest the use and tell us to be nice (which guarantees that most will be nice regardless of their tag use, many will refuse/forget to use tags and some will be jerks about it, because "Internet" :hmpf: ).

Regarding the spoiler debate: If I know the title of the movie it is already spoiled. I mean: Star Wars. That means there's a war and at least one star. Come on! HUGE spoiler!

Or Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom. Yup, it's all about a temple that doesn't seem very friendly. I skipped that one as well.
