benderisgreat Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 (edited) This new headpiece is so bad, that I am considering using Ahsoka's old headpiece from Clone Wars sets. BTW her arms should have been double-molded, with dark orange upper part and grey lower part for consistency. Edited July 9, 2016 by benderisgreat Quote
x105Black Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 The headpiece and saber color, as others have mentioned, are completely wrong. Lack of extra attention (like dual molded arms) makes this minifigure a fail. I can't see how anyone would buy the set just to get her. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 She isn't accurate that's for sure, but is Ezra accurate? No, and that's not a bad thing. She's a great and detailed minifigure. Quote
PicnicBasketSam Posted July 9, 2016 Posted July 9, 2016 I agree... those blue lightsabers are great, but not Ashoka's. The head-tails don't bother me though... otherwise her outfit is as generic and inaccurate as Sabine's. This is ridiculous, and why I still don't have any Rebels sets: The characters look wrong! Until one of the actual builds looks good enough to persuade me, I will not buy something solely because it has wholly and inexcusably wrong minifigures! Quote

Seems like a bad thing to me. We don't just want a great figure, we want a great Ahsoka figure.Well, I'm really glad I ordered those trans-clear blades back when we first saw this set. Quote

TheNerdyOne_ Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 They make trans-clear 4L blades? According to Bricklink, there was one included in the 2007 Hogwarts Castle. I grabbed two as soon as I saw Ahsoka's blades were blue. Quote

JPN366 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I still think that's a placeholder and the actual blades will not be dark blue. They are much lighter colored, lighter than Ezra's blade, on the box art. I'd like to see high res box art before I get worried. We will see in 3 weeks when people start reviewing the set. Quote
TheNerdyOne_ Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I'm assuming they were expensive? I think it was something like $4 each. I grabbed some ASAP because I figured the price might go up. Quote

Yeah, they're is still some hope. If you look in this picture Ezra's lightsaber hilt is the wrong color so there is a possibility that her blades are the wrong color too. . pittpenguin123 Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 I think the head piece works better then it did on shakti the top points go the right way for ahsoka Quote
Brickr Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Just saw the Disney castle on the brick fan website, the pics have now been removed, still... One step closer to the DS reveal! Quote
atlas Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 The way that ahsokas headdress is printed looks terrible. Just disappointing all around. Quote
JekPorkchops Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 (edited) I forgot about the headband. It is way too colorful, it doesn't wrap around half her face as it just sits there on top and there's a white gap between that and her forehead. Maybe I'm overanalyzing a tiny Lego figure but still, a new mold would have made all these problems disappear. Edited July 10, 2016 by JekPorkchops Quote

Thanks for the full picture of all the minifigures, Soto looks decent. The rest is just boring. Edited July 10, 2016 by amazingbricks Quote
Ookami Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Can someone remind please - is DS an October release or November one? Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 October, with an early VIP release in mid September IIRC. Quote
legosamsonite Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Do we know the price of the new death star? I'm scared to know because this will be my first d2c! Quote
legosamsonite Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Also, is battle on takodana worth it at 20% off? Quote
Ultron Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Ahsoka is still a really nice fig even if they were too lazy to make her accurate :/ I love the new blades too, I hope they replace the lighter blue honestly...never liked that shade. Quote
Brick Productions (Flickr) Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Also, is battle on takodana worth it at 20% off? Absolutely! Do we know the price of the new death star? I'm scared to know because this will be my first d2c! I`ve heard it`s the same as the previous U.C.S D.S at £274.99/$399.99 and that it has 28 Minifigures unlike the previous with 24 Figures (Also Minifigures)... But please don`t quote me on that one. Do we know if the piece count is similar? I had heard it's a bit bigger so I'm surprised it's the same price. Worried that Lego wanted to nail the new castle, so could this be another Star Wars disaster? Avid fans of Lego Star Wars will be very disappointed. Quote

Won`t be as big at the Lego Ghostbusters: Firehouse Headquarters piece count (3rd biggest set by Lego) which is 4,634 Pieces... Quote
mattyman Posted July 10, 2016 Posted July 10, 2016 Ok. Last DS has 3803 pieces. I think you are telling me it's going to be in the 4500 arena?.... Quote
