when is gonna came out the new movie?

If you're referring to the release date of the actual Rogue One film, it's mid-December (16th in the UK).

Usually there are two 'waves' of Star Wars sets each year (summer and winter) but 'Force Friday' messed up the usual pattern so it's subject to change! However, it seems logical that the first wave should coincide with the film debut, especially with Christmas so close to it. I'd expect that they'll start appearing in the shops in mid-late November.

Clearly RO second wave sets will not be out in. 2016. Shouldn't any discussion of RO second wave sets be moved to the 2017 thread so the moderators don't feel compelled to chastise you???

Does anyone have any intel on whether or not we can expect a new SW mini-build to be released at this year's SDCC? obviously there wasn't one at this year's celebration but then again we did get the Exogorth earlier this year. Last year's Dagobah was announced/pics released by early July (if I'm not wrong) so wondering whether there will be one at all?

P.S. I know that RO sets and the new DS take priority but still, I do love the mini-builds!

Interessting - that maybe the first time that we'll get a plump & unaesthetic ship of that size (Assault Carrier could count too though). Not that I would mind, since "wings" and other stuff are pretty useless in actual space..

Hey guys so this is wild speculation but I just got my July 2016 smugglers bounty box and it turns out that the September theme is "Death Star" .. Also in September we'll be getting the Death Star DLC for SW Battlefront I can't see how we won't get the Death Star in September.. Coupled with the fact that one of my local Lego store managers said it'd be released in September I'm beginning to think its a for sure thing..

Please take my local managers comment with a grain of salt though as he's told me things like this in the past and has been wrong which is why I was hesitant to post that info but it seems it is starting to become more concrete

Based on the patterns over the last few months, I would guess a Mid August reveal (Comic Con maybe) and VIP access in mid September with an October 1 release date (which happens to be when all of the Rogue One merch comes out).

All the stars are appearing to align ;)

They also really avoided talking about a new Death Star, and joked that, if it would come out, it would be between 1 and 350 pounds. The way he said it suggested he just threw out an "this covers about everything"-value for the upper range, not an actual price though.

I'm just glad to hear they acknowledged 75098. Seriously, though, releasing two $350+ sets at the same time doesn't sound like a terribly good idea... I agree, the Death Star will come out October 1st.

Especially since her eyes are like human eyes and only the pupils are blue. Would definitely look better with regular eyes (as would Hera).

Well they give all female aliens those non-standard eyes so I'm fine with that. Again, her torso, legs and head are great, but that headpiece is terrible.

I didn't mind the CW faces that much (though some looked weird) but in the case of Ahsoka it worked incredibly well since she had eyes that were stylized to be bigger in the show anyway. Especially her S3 minifig nailed the blue-eyed look. I think standard black eyes on her Rebels version wouldn't show up all that well.

EDIT: just saw the new pictures of the Frigate. They indeed managed to make the most boring interior ever, with no accuracy or recognisable part whatsoever. It was as I thought, just a few places for minifigs and clips for holding stuff. Another €140 set that's lazily put together. Also, nice false advertising on the box art (white lightsabers).

Since this is really one of two of the only summer Star Wars sets I want, I'll probably get this. Maybe a tad expinsive, but since I'm not buying much for this wave it shouldn't be a money problem for me.

Finally!!

Well that's more than I expected. We know since the Winter wave that the designers didn't watch a single episode of the show & design the stuff straight up from a few concept art pictures (otherwise they may have known about the scar Ezra has since.. over a year?).

The interior of bigger crafts mostly sucked (either very limited or extremely uncreative; Ghost, ISD, CTT, AT-TE, Malevolence...)

& we could already see that the angled plates on the side will limit the space. Still would have been nice to get this cool white conference room.

I'm just glad that they didn't put long technical pieces in the middle...

The Malevolence didn't have that bad of an interior, and neither did the 2007 AT-TE (I can't speak for the new one [yet] ).
