I think too that most of the people who bought the slave 1 liked the spaceship itself.

But still, there are people that buy them for minifigures and take the set as a bonus.

Are we going to see the change in the end? As I remember from the leaked Rogue One sets images, the figures looked without any printing on arms... Maybe the wave after it? I don't believe but I hope so...

Personally I want nothing more than to discuss set details, but as primarily an OT collector there has been precious little to discuss recently, bring on the DS, I hope it makes all our dreams come true

That's the argument I keep hearing, but it's ridiculous. The main selling point of a beautiful UCS set with nearly 2000 parts is the arm printing on one of the minifigures? Absurd.

Relating this to the Ahsoka discussion, if these extra details are supposed to be in more expensive sets, why did Ahsoka not get any. She is in the Combat Frigate set, which I believe is the most expensive set of the wave. I'll go further, and say that newer sets like the DC sets that have been shown do not follow this thinking. They have these extra details, and the sets are well below $100. So if it can be done there, it should be done across the board. I advocate making dual molding and printing on the arms and legs the new standard for all themes. This way, missteps like this Ahsoka minifigure can be avoided.

When a staff member tells you to stop, it doesn't mean "Continue saying whatever I want and then attempt to relate it back to the actual topic so I can get the last word in." Let's have a chat.

I'm not directing this just at you, but in response to this: there's no obligation to post in a topic. If there's nothing on-topic that you're interested in discussing, just don't post. This topic is pinned; it'll still be here and easy to find when there is news that you want to discuss.

Even though there is no way I could ever buy it, I'm really looking forward to seeing the new Death Star--it's just so iconic and I feel like set designs have progressed so much since the last one came out--not to mention minifigure designs.

Speaking of which, does anyone think Han will have a different hair piece in this set? It's so strange that they are still using the "classic" male minifig hair for him.

Oh that would be absolutely fantastic. It is long overdue!

Given they've already used the hair piece in the TFA set. I imagine they'll use it again here, only in brown of course.

I believe his hair is the classic male hair in that hoth attack set, as well as the carbon freezing chamber. Both of which came out after the TFA set.

I think that they're talking about what hair piece should TLG give for Han Solo in the new Death Star set.

But they chose a different hair piece for him in the TFA sets because his hair is very different in the movie. It's a lot more 'fuzzy'. Using that piece in brown on an OT Han wouldn't be really accurate. He needs a new hairpiece for that. Though I'm so used to seeing a classic Han with that old hairpiece that I just cannot picture a Lego design that matches the OT.

I totally disagree ;). I think the classic male hear piece is way too slick for OT Han and the tousled hair piece is by far the most accurate (excisting) hair piece for him IMO. I changed the hair piece for all my Han figs.

Nevertheless, we (or the mods) should probably move this discussion to the "Updating your minifigs" thread.

Yeah, I think that is the most accurate hair piece that currently exists, but a new mold would be nice!

And back to the Death Star, I think it would be awesome (but unlikely) for TLG to include a hidden hot tub as a fun reference to the video games!

What about the piece introduced with the CMF S16 Dog Show Winner in dark brown? That might work . . .

I'm really looking forward to seeing updates for so many OT characters with this new Death Star--I hope it doesn't disappoint in that respect.

The recent dimensions Gremlins pack shows extensive printing on faun style legs. Hopefully we see similar dedication to accuracy and printing with a pair for Zeb next time we get him as a figure!

Has the y wing microfighter book release yet

Not yet, but I picked it up early at SWCE for £12. Nice build and some fun ideas in the book. Most recent pilot minifig but same old Dak helmet... Again!

Those legs would be great for Geonosians too!

I wouldn't call it the best one yet. Its cannons are hugely oversized compared to its head, which in turn is oversized compared to the body. It does have its charm though. The body has some interesting shaping.
