Nokturn Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Why are we not talking about the obviously Cerean head just below? Could this be an updated (non-CW) Ki-Adi-Mundi??? The image seems like it could be from someone's personal SW minifig colllection, as opposed to a bunch of leaked figures. I wouldn't bet on it being new. Besides, there's seemingly no upcoming sets that would even be able to include Ki-Adi, even the known 2017 ones. That said, there is definitely quite a few CW figures that are in need of some serious updating in the form of movie versions. It'd be nice. Quote
PenPlays Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Went to my Lego store, as a fan of the architecture line I asked them about the US Capitol and he saw his calendar and saw it slotted for mid September VIP release therefore he deduced Death Star for October so who knows, even they haven't heard much aside from rumors The US Capitol is an ordinary architecture set. It is not a D2C exclusive, and therefore will not effect the VIP launches in September. If that were the case, all of the Rogue One sets would be considered VIP early access too. But sadly, no. They're ordinary sets launching on Force Friday. Quote
rollermonkey Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Are there actually zero duplicate figures in the RO wave? And where is Jyn? Is that her in the 75155 with zero detail? Edited August 2, 2016 by rollermonkey Quote
YellowCorvette Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Are there actually zero duplicate figures in the RO wave? And where is Jyn? Jyn is actually available(kinda) in the U-Wing set (The mini figure with the Hoth Rebel helmet and a grey poncho). Quote
bountybossk Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Are there actually zero duplicate figures in the RO wave? If you don't count the double Deathtroopers and the double Tanktroopers, then nope. And where is Jyn? Is that her in the 75155 with zero detail? Yes, she's in the U-wing set. I suspect she'll have some fine printing underneath that poncho. They'll probably include an alternative hair piece too, so you can switch between hair and the cap. Quote
Nokturn Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 And where is Jyn? Is that her in the 75155 with zero detail? Yes, that's her, but she does actually have torso printing under her poncho, much like the Leia figure from Imperial Shuttle Tydirium. She also includes a hairpiece in addition to the hat. Her torso printing is detailed enough, for me at least. She does look a little bland with the hat and poncho on, I'll give you that. Quote
sahidko Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) Jangbricks did the review of 75158. The set is even bigger disappointment than i originally thought. Boring interior, same amount of pieces than Ghost, optically smaller than Ghost and yet 20 EUR more expensive. Thanks Lego! Edited August 2, 2016 by sahidko Quote
Legoman123 Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 (edited) It's a big disappointment for me. I actually thought the set was good when first image was released but since seeing a review of the interior it just feels like a big letdown. Edited August 2, 2016 by Legoman123 Quote

Like Jang said, they're on a trend of sacrificing detail and accuracy for play features and durability. Quote

The only set I've the last couple of years that I really feel has a solid interior and exterior is the Millennium Falcon. Edited August 2, 2016 by Legoman123 Quote

The last sets(Insult on Hoth, summer wave and this) were even worst. I have the same feeling about the DS but that's only because of what we've heard it looks like. I actually don't know what I want from the new DS so I am welcoming a change. The only thing I can think of that I want is a larger hanger. Quote

Willsy Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Just ordered the Resistance X-Wing today since Amazon had it on discount. Already own Poe's so I'm looking forward to pairing the two. Quote
darththeling Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Jangbricks' review of the Rebels Combat Frigate (in case your Googling is a little rusty): Yes, the interiors are bland but not as bad as some are saying. Wouldn't take too much modding to help make it screen accurate. Certainly some white plates wouldn't hurt. Quote

What it needs is orange and yellow plates, but unfortunately those colors aren't available for the parts used in this set.Personally, I was absolutely planning on buying the set despite all my issues with it, but after seeing the review I will definitely just be buying Ahsoka and Sato separately. Nothing about this set makes it at all desirable, especially when I have my own version of this ship already mostly built that I can just add Sato to. Edited August 3, 2016 by TheNerdyOne_ Quote

Nothing about this set makes it at all desirable, especially when I have my own version of this ship already mostly built that I can just add Sato to. I didn't mind the dark red, since it gives the set the looks of an "ex" republic frigatte. However, I hate the tan so I switched it out with yellow parts (they do exist in that colour). Well this one needed & still needs tons of modding, but when I'm done it will be much better. Bigger cockpit for 2-3 people + a lot of consoles, the (very small) conference part in the middle with the round dish + a hyper engine & some cargo crates at the now usable back. I'll try to make the interior white - like in the show, but for that I'd also need to close all gaps. Also thinking about making the bottom rounder with these pieces: ...maybe build in some feature with bombes, mini-Awings, missiles. http://brickset.com/parts/4658974 http://brickset.com/parts/4180470 Overall they gave 60 % of the space away with stupid decisions & it's not that difficult to mod that mistakes. I complain more about not updating Ezra Oh & Ahsoka's lightsabers are awesome Edited August 3, 2016 by Kim-Kwang-Seok Quote

DarthPotato Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 I'm happy that Ahsoka's lightsaber blades are actually that paler blue color. It looks much better than the dark blue from the leaked figure! I still wish she had regular eyes instead of those full blue ones, but other than that I'd say she's one of the best figures of the year. Quote
Brickweiser Posted August 3, 2016 Posted August 3, 2016 Rogue One sets are due for October 1 or somewhere around there Leaks and DS by the end of the month maybe Reveal for DS would have to come out before the end of the month as that's when the October calendar is due for release. There would be very little maybe about it. If there is no reveal before or when calendar hits, then we can assume the DS' release is delayed (which wouldn't surprise me in the least. Quote

I don't think it's true, I mean when will they release the DS? between Rogue One sets and the UCS Snowspeeder? or after the Snowspeeder(A year delay?), It does not make sense to me. Although, lately, LEGO has disappointed me a lot, so I expect the worst to come =D! Quote
