I noticed Krennic's shuttle is in the trailer and Lego seems to have done a fairly great job at getting the model accurate. The only difference is the film shuttle appears to have a more prominent landing ramp.

The Death Star will not have an outside fraction like 10143, it will be like 10188.

Thats odd, because a member on here, with alleged connections, said it would appease both collectors wanting both factions of the 10143 and 10188. Maybe not though, either way looking forward to the revealing.

The RO sets look decent, will pick all of them up aside from the U Wing.

The trailer was ok. Im still meh on the story line. Looking forward into seeing the DS, ISD's and Darth Vader though.

After seeing that trailer, the U-Wing has grown on me. Still not keen on the set, but the actual ship looks great. Maybe I'l be completely won over after I see the film...And I can definitely see them making a (not a spoiler, but some people are incredibly picky)

Rogue One Darth Vader

somewhere down the line.

Nice for people (like me) that didn't buy a 10188 yet!

Idd!

I hope also for one updated Bounty Hunter like Bossk with dual moulded legs for example. :-)

Really good catch there, man. I've been dissecting the trailer myself and I managed to totally miss that part.

It's cool finally seeing Krennic's Shuttle on-screen. Hopefully we'll get more of it in the next trailer, whenever that may be.

Re: Death Star having no outer shell - at SDCC a Lego employee told me it would have an exterior. It's possible she was misinformed or that there was a miscommunication. As it was pretty chaotic in the show floor. But as it seems to comport with at least one other person's info I'm not giving up hope yet.

Also, can someone tell me where/when Krennic's shuttle is in the trailer? I've watched it multiple times but haven't spotted it.

Check 1:32 of the trailer. It's taking some heavy fire from the 3 X-wings.

What do the bounty hunters have to do with the Death Star, unless I missed some obscure EU reference?

What I really really really but REALLY hope is for the stormies in the upcoming DS to match printing-wise those coming next year in the battlepacks. Not counting on it though.

The scene in Episode V where Vader gathers some bounty hunters and tells them of the bounty on Han is the only scene in the main movies I believe. Would love to get some more and finish the line up.

that was on the bridge of his flagship Super Star Destroyer The Executor. in which we already received a set including Bossk, IG-88, and Dengar

as to the death star set itself it has to have a shell on half if not all of it for me to want to buy. I passed on the last one a thousand times (it was only available for something like 2000 days :P ) and I will continue to pass on death star sets if they are hollow vignette displays. if I wanted a scene set from the death star I would be a set that depicts that (Final dual) but if I want a death star it had better look like the death star first, and hidden vignettes or play features hidden and extra.

I know I'm being a bit limited in my desires for it but if I'm spending as much as it's reported I will then I hold the right to only spend when it meets my criteria.

I was looking at the AT-ST and Imperial Tank and the vehicles appear to both have similar hatches which Lego's models have. A 4x4 round studded tile with a 2x2 one stud or smooth tile and both vehicles have this. However The AT-ST model's seems designed so that only the circle hinges open where as the tank seems to incorporate the trap door technique from the FO transporter. If I am correct in my observations then why did lego incorporate a clearly inferior hatch on the tank and a better one on the AT-ST? Why not make it the same on both?

Has it been confirmed that 75159 Teh Death Star will compromise with Rogue One? Because in the Rgoue One Trailer Brickdown over on Brickset, CapnRex101 has stated about the Death Troopers that other than in Krennic's Shuttle, "these elite troopers will appear in another set toward the end of this year." I'd like to believe this is 75159, but I wanted to check with you guys around here.

Considering the last Death Star set wasn't purely ANH, it wouldn't surprise me if there was something RO related in it. I don't believe it's been confirmed though.

He's stated that he was referring to something he believed will come in the Winter wave of next year, but I wouldn't be totally surprised.

I'm doubting there's going to be any big enough scene in RO that would warrant a spot in the new DS. Plus, given that this new DS will probably be on shelves for as long as the old DS was, it's banking a lot that RO is a success by putting a RO feature in the new DS. Safer to keep it all OT, since that's always a winner.

Posted

I agree, the Death Star is likely to be all OT. While I wouldn't be surprised to see a minifigure or 2 from Rogue One, I feel it will likely be characters that appear in both. For instance, Death Star crewmen, gunners, officers, and droids.

Posted

Then it would still be a purely OT based set, just with minifigs that can also be used with your RO sets (but there are already lots of figs we already have, which will be compatible with RO).

Exactly. I don't expect any characters that are only in Rogue One to be in the Death Star set, but it should still be a great set for fans of Rogue One.

When I read that, I immediately assumed that he was talking about the Imperial BP in the Winter 2017 wave. The winter waves tend to appear in stores in December anyway.

It probably won't be based on/ include figures from Rogue One. It will come out before the movie does, making any Rogue One figures included obscure, and if they expect it to have a long shelf life like the last one it would make more sense to have just figures from the classics. I could see a few easter eggs being included in the set, though.
