Is there any word on international pricing yet?

Also, does anyone know if those double points will be anywhere other than the US? If they are then what's the point in buying it during the VIP period?

October double-points is usually all markets. Maybe by buying it during "VIP only" you have a better chance of not missing out... or because TLG saves some money due to the "gotta-get-it-day-one" people who won't wait.

I really didn't see Lego marketing this as a new set and I'm not surprised by the headline on that image that '...it's back'.

It's just an unashamed decision to pull the old, and for them increasingly underpriced, set and give it a little update with revised figures then get it back on the shelves.

"When is the Death Star going to retire?" was the longest running joke in Star Wars Lego history. Now that TLG have announced "it's back" either they've got a sense of humour about it or their agenda is to destabilize the Lego reselling market. Either way, well played.

The fact that they are saying it's back actually makes me feel okay about the set. It's simply meant to be an update. What my main issue was the seeming gall to market this as an entirely new set but that seems to not be the case.

Yes it still has issues but if it's a reissue i'm not going to complain. Still a much better set then Assault on Hoth.

I think we've only got ourselves to blame for that. The new set number was listed on brickset ages ago, and since then we've built up the hype, and started speculating what it might be.

I do agree that it's a waste of a UCS slot and that they shouldn't have given it a new set number.

I've picked up two SW sets this year. UCS Slave 1, and the escape pod (got cheap). Not great for OT fans like me.

I look forward to what can only be a better year next year.

Or they are just updating an old, but well selling set.

It disappeared from shelves around a year ago, now it is returning to shelves. The statement that "it's back" makes it clear that it is a returning product, and helps avoid confusion to those who read the catalogue but weren't sure if it was out of stock, retired or something else.

Does anybody know when first reviews of the Rogue one sets are expected to arrive? Can't wait to see the models in real life just to decide, what I should buy and what I should not.

There are some changes in the build, for example, the cannon on the lower level uses the "new" spring loaded shooter compared to the older bulky shooter (not sure of its official name). Also, it looks like the lighting in the conference room is made up of black instead of dark grey. I'm sure there's more, but we will see once we get clear high res pictures/ video reviews.

The sets won't be released or even officially revealed until September 30th, so I'd expect proper reviews shortly after then. The earliest "reviews" we got for the TFA sets last year were pretty lackluster.

Apparently, in addition to being seen in that video, USA Today has been showing off some of the Rogue One sets. Hopefully this means we will get official set photos released officially.

I assume, since they claim it as an exclusive sneak peak it is ok to post a link. It's nothing we haven't seen before in the leaks, but this seems to be an official outlet for them.

I notice the TIE Striker wings are hinged on the Micro Machine so this must be a key feature of the craft, and not just adjustable because of how the Lego set is constructed.

That video seems very spoiler-y for the movie...

Some imperial figures leaked, they look pretty good. The new helmet molds look great, printing is excellent as per usual.
