Agent Kallus Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 That shore-trooper looks great, though it' kinda weird to see that blaster in a star wars set. Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 While we're talking about CGI whatever images, if you look at Darth Vader in all the new Death Star photos, his prints are all photoshopped on. Quote
Juke Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 That shore-trooper looks great, though it' kinda weird to see that blaster in a star wars set. Boba Fett uses the same blaster in the UCS Slave I, except with a light saber hilt as an attachment. This one just has binoculars attached, is what it looks like to me Quote
AmericaLego Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I find it weird that only the U-Wing set has a pair of stud shooters. Quote
StarWars8Spoiler Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I find it weird that only the U-Wing set has a pair of stud shooters. Doesn't the TIE Striker have them too? Quote
Richpepperell Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I find it weird that only the U-Wing set has a pair of stud shooters. I'm quite surprised they didn't put one on top of the hover tank where the mounted rifle is. I'm also really pleased they didn't stick one of those six-stud shooter things on the at-st chin. I'd convinced myself that's what we'd get. Quote
RetroInferno Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Ermm those are flick fire missiles, and yeah they both have 2 each. The U-Wing has side stud shooters near the cargo bay though. Quote
Juke Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Maybe they're starting to get that people don't like stud shooters Quote
CM4Sci Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Maybe they're starting to get that people don't like stud shooters Nah, they're not leaving anytime soon. Quote
joeyl19 Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Maybe they're starting to get that people don't like stud shooters I wish, but CM4Sci is probably right. They just look so ugly. Quote
benderisgreat Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Maybe there's a chance that next years Battlepacks will use normal blasters instead of stud shooters? There's really not enough regular blasters in sets nowadays, so cheap way to get them like battlepacks is a must. And to be honest stud shooters as weapons are horrible! Quote

Nooo...they are awesome;!!1))) I like to shoot the minifigs with those studs:D Just joking, they are a crap Quote
Moshaka Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 Stud shooters my not look good on minifigs but they got good playability and they are meant for kids and I don't think they will get rid of them Quote
Tariq j Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 It definitely looks that way, since it's another way they incorporate more playability into the set. On the bright side though, at least it's only the battle packs that have been replaced, all the regular sets still have the standard blasters. Quote
Moshaka Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 A they do look good on sets like clone turbo tank and the FO transpiter Quote
Sneakguest Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 I think generally lego should have a better variety of weapons, they just have 3 regular sw weapons and not many extra special, only one I can think of is chewies bow. in the absence of alternatives, I'm happy brickarms and brick forge exists... I assume this tread will be dying soon since there is no much roomers left for this year Quote

Sion Posted September 5, 2016 Posted September 5, 2016 RIP this thread it was good while it lasted. Quote
joeyl19 Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 RIP this thread it was good while it lasted. Yeah, I loved reading 30 pages of people complaining about the Death Star! Haha but true it was pretty good. Quote
Aethersprite Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 I'm glad all the sets incorporate the new spring-loaded shooters, though. Those work extremely well and are better integrated into sets. They don't stand out and are easily removable if you don't like them! Quote
StarWars8Spoiler Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Here's the next magazine build: Quite an ugly little thing but I like the use of the stud shooters as the cannons. Quote
miles teg Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 While we're talking about CGI whatever images, if you look at Darth Vader in all the new Death Star photos, his prints are all photoshopped on. I'm glad somebody else noticed it. I was convinced he looked different to my Death Star Final Duel Vader. Have They done it to make the printing more visible? Or is it to highlight that it is actually new print? Quote
Darth Malgus Posted September 6, 2016 Posted September 6, 2016 Yeah, I loved reading 30 pages of people complaining about the Death Star! Haha but true it was pretty good. Yep and then TLG decided $800 Aud for the DS was acceptable! Quote

Can't wait for Han with new hair to appear in smaller sets. They can't make this hair piece exclusive for too long. Quote
