I built this set last night, the wings would be similar around 2/3rds the size of Ren's shuttle. Its a well constructed set. One of my favourites in the last few years. Love the Commander Pau face piece!

After seeing Brickshow's review of the Shuttle I have to say the DeathTroopers have won me over - they look fantastic. The reverse face on the non-human Rebel (Pau?) looks great too as does the droid, but I'm not so convinced by the Shuttle itself. After watching the review I turned and looked at my beautiful Shuttle Tyderium on the shelf and I have to say this shuttle resembles a floating box or black pyramid more than a sleek starcraft to me.

Do you have the Imperial Shuttle Tydirium! I'd like to know how they compare height-wise, in landing mode?

I actually like the monolithic look of Krennic's shuttle. The way Lego detailed the front with the trapezoid plates looks really good.

I do, too. I had pointed out awhile ago that we hadn't ever seen paneling detail of that caliber before. It looks fantastic, and it's my most anticipated set in a good while. I really wish my local stores would just put the sets out already. Other stores in the US don't seem to have a problem with doing so.

I like the back part of the shuttle. The ship overall is nice. The death troopers are awesome. Krennic is nice although he doesn't come with a double face. Paos face looks awesome. Bohdi is ok.

Nice, sets are never a good starting point for making s better replica of something in Lego in my experience though. For me it always ends up becoming something else entirely and the structure limits what you can do.

If you're doing an update on the U-Wing, you need to make the wings/mandibles a lot longer!

i think that rather than the mandibles being longer, the fuselage should be shorter.

That looks pretty good. I'd say the canopy is a significant improvement already.

You're right about the fuselage length. I have been working on my own moc of the u-wing in the run up to its release as i think it's a bit chunky and the proportions off. From the blueprint I found online it shows the fuselage is about half the mandible/wing length and not 2/3 the length. I can see why the official set is designed that way though as it allows a good sized cockpit and troop transport area.

Im also trying to tackle the engines that shouldn't have that huge gap between them and also come up with a more elegant way of attaching them to the fuselage. Of course the revelation that the wings folded back threw a huge spanner in my design ideas. 

Obviously these are prelim plans so these may be off too but after comparing it to images from the trailers I'd say its not far off and has that "feels right" look about it. If I get a moment tomorrow I'll try to put up a picture of my WIP.

Sticker? Sorry shouldve gone back a page before commenting. Yeah that's a little strange but it's weirdly shaped part, maybe they haven't determined or designed a way to print on a piece like that yet?

I just don't like how it can be damaged more easily, and ages poorly.  Also, it doesn't look as streamlined.

Yeah, honestly if Lego is trying to make things that last when kids play with them, stickers don't seem like a good idea, especially small ones. But it's been argued lots of times that it's a price thing. I'll just never get used to them.

I personally think there needs to be a better balance between prints and stickers but I guess they figure the backpack isnt a vital part of the character or at least the printing there isnt.

At least getting rid of 1x2 stickers and multi-piece stickers would be a start.

This may of already been answered but does anyone know what tomorrow's deals will be for the UK, free promotion-wise? I know some areas are getting Revan, some the First Order Stormtrooper, some even Admiral Yularen apparently; just wondering if there was any consensus about the UK promotion.

Maybe I'm late to the party on this, but I just stopped in TRU (New York, USA) looking for the new sets.  They hadn't put them out early, but they did have First Order Generals with every purchase of $30 or more.  The promotion apparently is running from Sept. 25 to Oct. 1, so I nearly missed it.

^ I was able to purchase the First Order General minifig on its own, without spending the $30, earlier today. YMMV, but my store has always let me do this.

JANGBRiCKS' review of 75156 Krennic's shuttle is up. 

 

It's a great look inside it showing a lot of space for figures. Easily at least 4 troopers can fit inside the fold-up walls. Engines look awesome. This is becoming a must buy for me.
