The only one I hear speculation about is the tie advanced There are multiple listings even with screenshots in the earlier comments, it seems to be dependent on the market. You can check it out for yourself in the online shop. Quote

Tom Jurassic Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 Picked up two of the Rogue One sets this past week - the TIE Defender and the U-Wing. The TIE Defender is fantastic - the length and shaping of the wings looks phenomenal and creates a really cool looking ship! I also love the curvature of the main body - it looks fantastic, and the inbuilt features between the storage compartment and the cockpit of the vehicle are both integrated well into the build. The U-Wing is also great - all of the inbuilt features are fantastic and the minifigure lineup here is great. I absolutely love both sets, and should be getting the other three for Christmas! Quote

Mymaker123 Posted December 5, 2016 Posted December 5, 2016 So, since all the January sets are now releasing on 16th December 2016....do they technically belong in this topic now? Quote

So the Europeans discuss the coming winter sets here and the americans in the 2017 thread ;) At least in South East Asia, usually Singapore gets the sets in advance, followed by Malaysia and other markets. So far I haven't seen my friends sharing that they got the 2017 sets in Singapore yet. More on topic -- I got all the 2016 Star Wars sets that I want thanks to sales and clearance. I love Duel on Naboo and Yoda's Jedi Starfighter. The new Thrawn figure is nice, but somehow doesn't look grand. Maybe epaulets would look good. Quote
brobert Posted December 6, 2016 Posted December 6, 2016 Umm...is it just me, or is the Star Wars selection cut down in S@H at others too? I can't find half the sets now, and not the ones that are retiring soon, those are still there. Must be a bug, because if I search one way, there's only one UCS set listed and 22 total, but when I check from the SW-banner, there are more, but still not everything... Quote

Yes, I've been thinking about that too, and I don't think it's a bug if it's not the entire system, because like half of the sets are retiring, even most of the winter 2016 sets are retiring, I've not collected more than two years so dunno how it was before but at least last year, no 2015 sets were retiring so I assumed the usually stay on shelves for 1.5 years at least. when it comes to USC, how long has the previous ones stayed on shelves before retiring, let alone the DS of course? Now Ewok Village like 3,5 years and the Sand Crawler 2,5? Quote

It's weird because I couldn't see the Slave-I or the Hoth set either, and the latter is definitely not being retired just yet, but I didn't see the retiring soon badge on the Slave-I either... And the RO line is not there either. And most of the filters are flickering so I am pretty sure it's a bug now... Edited December 6, 2016 by brobert Quote

Yes, however if they consider that the first premiere was in US in may, I'm kind of surprised that it seems like no one has heard anything yet, feels like time is a bit overdue for huge surprises by that time. However, most other countries were introduced to ANH during the fall and winter so the might delay the anniversary celebration until end of next year Quote

Or at least better then the last few years. But I digress..this is not on topic. Since that one was closed... Quote

I think a Tantive IV could be on the cards, or possibly the long rumoured Rebel Base. Everything else is kind of booked out. Mos Eisley is just retired and there's already a landspeeder, sandcrawler, Falcon, Death Star, 2 X-Wings, 4 different TIE fighters and a Y-Wing on or coming to the market. Quote

I'm not if Japan has listed their sets as "retiring" as well. So you may be in luck if they haven't. Quote

In Japan it has scant direct distribution so sellers keep them posted until they are out of stock. Once they retire we never know but the prices I have noticed do shoot up. This means they do retire but we are not informed since there is no direct LEGO listing to reference for Japan unless we look at the overseas timetables. Cant wait until they are done building the new LEGOLand park and store here so we have more distributor options and more transparent information on sets. Quote

I think this is true for most Asian market since there is no S@H in Asia except Korea... so maybe Korea is the closest reference that we can get aside from Australia. Having said that, majority of the people I know refer mostly to US and UK market as indicator that the sets had been truly retired, whether it is Star Wars sets or something else. Quote

Yes, recently I have begun paying more attention to US and UK information to get a general idea of what is coming down the pike with regards to retiring sets or sets that are regionally going to be discontinued or not released at all. It is very annoying to have a more direct transparent source though. I hope in the coming years LEGO has more of a presence in my region. Quote
Aethersprite Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 I'm building Krennic's shuttle right now, and boy, its wings are LONG. Very impressive! It might have one of the largest wingspans of any Lego vehicle ever. Quote
