Amazing Bricks Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I don't expect a Luke at all for Ep VII. Don't get your hopes up for that, cause you might be dissapointed in the end. I'm looking forward to the Finn and kylo set. I just hope we get Finn in his black robes. Quote
DarthPotato Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I agree that we won't get Luke in Episode VII sets. Unless he's a polybag or May the 4th promo, I think we'll have to wait until Episode VIII. And really, it's not that much longer of a wait. We'll probably get sets for that in February 2017, so only a little over a year from now. Quote
BrickBob Studpants Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 I'm pretty confident we'll get a TFA Luke minifig before 2017. The amount of screen presence has never been an issue with LEGO in general, especially not for Star Wars There could be whole lists of characters and vehicles that were released in LEGO form despite their movie counterparts short screentime And since old Luke doesn't require new moulds, he could as well be released as a promo figure (just like C-3PO) as others have already pointed out. x105Black Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Taylor Stevenson recently posted: HEADS UP: THEY ARE UN-OFFICIAL! Of course it's fake. He listed some sets as Mid 2016, and others as Summer 2016. Those happen at the same time for the northern hemisphere. New catalog pic of 75139 Looks great. I see lots of useful pieces. I do hope we get Luke in Episode 7 sets. I couldn't imagine Star Wars without him. Quote
Venkefedo Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 i figured i just wanted to continue some random theory i heard be-leaving fake sounding theory makes the movie more surprising but he might at-least have some dark side in him if there taking some ideas from the now non cannon EU books. he was half good half bad in some cus think about it the profficy said the chosen one would bring balance to the force the jedi thought that meant killing all the sith but that wouldn't be balance balance would be like b4 luke. only Obi, Yoda, Vader and Pulp. once luke became a jedi it was no longer balanced so then obi and yoda died now the dark side is heavier cus its pulp, vader, and luke. so vader kills pulp and its balanced again then vader dies and luke is only one left making it unblanced and the only way to make it balanced is to be both the dark side and the light side together as one, i hope we see that come back from the EU like boba not dieing did That's not what 'balance to the Force' ever meant (particularly because "Obi-Wan & Yoda, Vader & Palpatine" was never the sum total of all the Force users in the galaxy, light or dark. Balance, according to George, meant destroying the Sith. The old EU explained it a little more in that the Sith had attempted something so abhorrent that the Force was knocked out of balance, and reacted by creating Anakin to restore it. We have no real official explanation now in the new canon, but it's still a Jedi prophecy about the Sith. And Luke won't go dark...that part of the EU is, thankfully, forever dead. I don't expect a Luke at all for Ep VII. Don't get your hopes up for that, cause you might be dissapointed in the end. I'm looking forward to the Finn and kylo set. I just hope we get Finn in his black robes. ...black robes? Kylo wears black robes. Finn wears a black stormtrooper suit beneath his armor, which may even be what he's wearing in his current minifig--just with Poe's jacket on top. If you want him before he dons the jacket, just throw his head on a plain black torso w/ black arms. If you want him as a stormtrooper, throw his head on an FO stormie body. Simple! I think those suggesting Luke as a May the 4th figure might be onto something. He might change outfits by the time of VIII (one would hope so! Unless GFFA garments are even more advanced than Back to the Future 2 "2015" clothes and can self-clean in addition to self-dry...) Given the rumors about his involvement in the film, there probably isn't a good 'set' that'd make sense for him, tho the environment he's in would look great as an MOC...but they could always throw him in something else, like Cracken in the A-wing set or whatever. Quote
Renegade Clone Posted October 15, 2015 Posted October 15, 2015 Yeah, Luke will most definitely not show up in the Takodana set, so that only leaves a set in the summer wave Speaking of said set: I wonder what minifigs are in there except Kylo and Finn - Maz certainly has to be there... right? Right? @Renegade Clone: you mean the trailer that's supposed to come out next Monday? A leak has already been reported - maybe its true, maybe it's false (although some reliable sources have backed it up:)) Luke isn't in it - but his green saber is seen! Quote

I shouldn't have said black robes, instead jacketless. http://images-cdn.mo...-our-482469.jpg I've also seen the jacketless figure that's packed with a Jakku speeder from Hasbro... like I said, it's probably just his underclothes beneath his stormie armor. Printing might give it some detail, maybe some sand (like the Hasbro figure) but it's just a plain long-sleeve shirt & plain pants, so it's really not necessary. Thx, I'm a huge SW fan, but never heard it before, there's not a lot of fans around here... Never? That's odd. It's a pretty common thing, especially after the fall of the New Republic during the New Jedi Order series, and how they reorganized as the Galactic Federation of Free Alliances (commonly called the "Galactic Alliance" for short...but really named that big name because of the initials GFFA, in honor of "galaxy far, far away", which is how fans refer to the Star Wars galaxy: GFFA) i always liked that part of the eu i dont think any one confirmed that its lukes it might be Finns second one cus he lost the first one like luke did I liked the art in Dark Empire, but that story was ridiculous and I never like Luke going to the dark side. Kinda flew in the face of the ROTJ ending. Not sure where you're getting your rumors, but why would Finn have a second one in the film? He's a soldier, not a Jedi, and he's only carrying the Skywalker saber for awhile. None of the new heroes have their own saber in the film. Finn carries a blaster and the Skywalker saber (a MacGuffin in the film), Rey has her staff which is a pretty plain thing, cheap & low-maintenance which suits life on Jakku. Of course, the Skywalker saber has been known to change hands... Quote

GuyDudeMan27 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 (edited) Since when does Lando have a robotic hand? They could be gloves. But I seriously doubt that that's Luke. It's an ad for Droid Tales. No relation whatsoever to Episode VII. And honestly, making a home made Luke can't be that hard. Cape, hood, black legs, black robes, and a scraggly old man face. I doubt he'll even have a big role in the movie so it doesn't matter too much anyway. Edited October 17, 2015 by GuyDudeMan27 Quote

Kman860 Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 Has there been any news on the USC echo base? I heard a semi-confirmed rumor that there is a new USC MF coming out. If I find the link again I'll put it here. But what it was was a french catalog, and a small section said that the MF is a great set and now it's incredibly expensive for collectors to get it, so lego is going to make it cheaper to get. Now, I don't know if that's a reissue, remake, or a new TFA one, but I hope it's true. Quote
Kdapt-Preacher Posted October 17, 2015 Posted October 17, 2015 It kinda looks like one of the Rebels in the BF battlepack is wearing the bottom half of a wrecked stormtrooper helmet. Quote
