TheBrickHitHouse Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 When are we likely to get a list of summer sets? Mind if we wait for the January wave first?! There is hardly a process for the illegal release of company information! Quote
nrg Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 (edited) When are we likely to get a list of summer sets? If we are lucky in early Dec when the retailers catalog is out. Edited October 25, 2015 by nrg Quote
Darth_Brick360 Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 Mind if we wait for the January wave first?! There is hardly a process for the illegal release of company information! My thoughts exactly. The January wave hasn't even been officially revealed yet. Quote
Vectormatic Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 My thoughts exactly. The January wave hasn't even been officially revealed yet. And we'll probably get some TFA sets then, which we probably wont see before the movie hits Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted October 25, 2015 Posted October 25, 2015 When are we likely to get a list of summer sets? December, if it follows previous years leak of set names Quote
Mymaker123 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 This is a curious case; October 4th last year we had high resolution images of every single Winter Wave set. Now, we have blurry images of about 80% of sets, all of which don't even have the stands photoshopped out yet. It is understandable not to have official images of TFA sets due to potential spoilers, but I at least expected some sort of leaked, poorly translated set description for those TFA Battle Packs and the Battle Of Takodona.... Artanis I Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Man, that book is so old even I have it. Quote
LegendaryArticuno Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 (edited) I wonder if Lego will maintain their overpriced markups from The Force Awaken sets ... let's hope not. Edit: Just saw the SPOILER pics Must Buy: 75133 Rebel Battle Pack - Wow look at those mini-figs! Amazing details and variety, the speeder bike looks like a small fun build too. 75137 Carbon Freezing Chamber - I'll be buying this just for Bobba Fett and Han Solo, everything else will wind up into the parts bin. On the Fence: 75134 Empire Battle Pack - Uhh what's with the Stormtrooper that looks like he/she smeared lipstick over his suit, If I buy, it'll only be for the two classic Stormtroopers 75141 Kanan's Speeder Bike - I'm not a rebels fan at all and don't follow the series... but Kanan is a neat mini-fig and the speeder bike doesn't look too terrible. Not thrilled that the piece count is inflated with a bunch of mini-fig guns though. Not Buying: 75135 Obi-Wan's Jedi Starfighter - Anakin's Jedi Starfighter is one of my favourite sets... but I don't need another ETA starfighter (even though maroon is a nice colour). Also looks sticker heavy. 75138 Hoth Attack - I like the set, but I don't have any room for playsets... would fit really well with my Snowspeeder though. 75142 Homing Spider Droid - Oh god Lego is still releasing poorly designed prequel droids 75140 (Unnamed) - Force Awakens!!! Not the biggest fan of the ship design, basically a fat B-Wing without folding s-foils. Also looks incredibly sticker heavy. Edited October 26, 2015 by LegendaryArticuno Quote
YellowCorvette Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 With the leaked informations of the winter wave of Star Wars sets next year, now I wonder what TLC plan for the summer wave. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 Not too sure we'll find out for a little while yet. Quote

Mymaker123 Posted October 26, 2015 Posted October 26, 2015 thats a Shocktrooper not a stormtrooper they carry elctro staffs like grievous's body guard and shock people, wander why lego didnt include one I think those Shocktroopers were the Coruscant guards, and never really saw combat (guards in prisons, guarded the Chancellor etc), that's why they carried electro staffs. but these imperial Shocktroopers are based off of the Battlefront game, where they carry huge machine guns and are used as heavy support. Mymaker123 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Does anyone know what figures to expect with the 75132 TFA Battle pack? It's obvious 75131 will just be a bunch of resistance soldiers with varying appearances, but I'm not sure on 75132. There's gonna be at least 2 first order stormies for sure, but anyone know about other varieties, like a flametrooper or a heavy gunner trooper? Quote

'Shocktrooper' in the context of the Coruscant Guard has nothing to do with electric shocks, but is rather a real-life term for elite infantry. I'm not aware of any Galactic Republic forces that use electrostaves. The Imperial shocktroopers in Battlefront use the armor markings of the Coruscant Guard and are unrelated to the Imperial riot troopers, who do carry staves but appear only in the Star Wars: Galactic Defense mobile game. Pittpenguin was referring to the Shadows of the Empire Coruscant Guard, which the EU eventually linked to the Shocktroopers as they started calling Fox/Thire/etc's red-marked clones both Shocktroopers and Coruscant Guard... by the time of the OT, the Guard's armor had changed from the standard trooper-armor of the Stormtrooper Corps into the suits Luke & Lando wear for their infiltration mission. But as SOTE is non-canon, so is its OT depiction of "Coruscant Guards". No electrostaves for Battlefront's OT-era Shockies! Quote

pittpenguin123 Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) Shocktroopers don't carry electrostaves, they're called shocktroopers because they are the first ones in the fight in the clone wars they did unless they had the same marking... never mind-edit they did carry elcro staffs in the clone wars when transporting prisoners or guarding them i TLG would of only included them if they had a prisoner in the set- But these are the battle front game but i just figured they wouldnt change there rules of shocktroopes, the more u know i guess. I think that they will probably give us either: A. 3 regular Stormies and a heavy gunner with the black ammo vest. ( since BPs are known for at least one exclusive figure ) B. 2 regulars, a heavy gunner and some sort of officer that is just a regular stormie with a white pauldron or something. The draw for the transporter will likely be Phasma and the Flametroopers, both of which are likely to remain exclusive to that set. Quote

I hope FO Battlepack will have just 4 Stormtroopers, but I doubt Lego will be that generous. More likely 2 Stormtroopers, 1 FO crew and 1 snowtrooper or flametrooper. Quote
Bricksnaps Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 I want an army of the FI storm troopers as the big builds. My son loves these, I normally make minifig scale Mocs, but would love a Moc to fit these larger figures Quote
TheBrickHitHouse Posted October 27, 2015 Posted October 27, 2015 Hmm, Hoth base seems to have been a dud rumour. It's unlikely to be released in January with the Ghostbustets HQ already allocated to that slot and wasn't the May slot going to the unneeded A Wing UCS? Maybe the rumour mill just called it wrong.
