The-Nexu Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 Both those sets had something to do with a future movie, but this escape pod doesn't. If the other sets were being leaked, I would have expected the escape pod to get leaked as well, but I guess that TLG is upping it's security. Quote

The avenger jet has no future movie spoiler and the b-wing looking ship may even be an episode 7 ship. Long story short, we will never know what we would get leaked but its only a month or so before seeing your escape pod so no worries Quote
Flieger Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 They could give Kallus the proper colour torso and legs! Black is perhaps not the best choice and I was not happy about it, but it is a) what the official colour guide says and b) Kallus does have a much darker uniform than the military officers. I am not sure what Lego colour would be best for it. Note that Hasbro also went for black. I think most important would be updating his rank insignia (5 pips now, no red pip anymore) and perhaps making a Bo-Rifle mould. This is Season 2 Kallus: I'd agree for the Empire BP. But for me I have the Shock Trooper as an excuse to get 2 of the set and the Technician's cap for the Microfighters Star Destroyer's crewman. That is the one I was thinking about, too. Quote

Robianco Posted November 1, 2015 Posted November 1, 2015 I'm always amused when people ask why something hasn't been leaked. It's because nothing should be leaked... Hence it being a 'leak' not a 'reveal'. It's not out in the public domain because it's not supposed to be. The sense of entitlement in the frustration is staggering at times. Quote

That runs right alongside those people that complain that TLG don't build enough of the models that "they" want to see, thinking that TLG should cater first for AFOLs. Sadly, that sense of entitlement is, indeed, jaw droppingly incomrehensible at times. [sorry to go off topic] News I'm most looking forward to for 2016 is the new UCS set(s). Also a big fan of the Constraction figures - a couple of decent looking sets coming out in January (I know it's covered in a different thread, but it's still SW Lego, regardless). Quote
Kman860 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Going back to the driod escape-what if it's a TFA set? I mean, there is a scene where BB-8 is in a net, and what if we are just assuming it's a remake? Disclaimer:If I am way off, it's most likely because it's late and I'm tired. So don't make fun of me if I'm wrong. Edited November 2, 2015 by Kman860 Quote

CM4Sci Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Droid Escape is definitely a remake, it's got R2, C3PO and Jawas. Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 Luke wouldn't have been a stormtrooper... the Academies train people for all sorts of roles. Some, presumably, not even military (Minister Tua attended the Academy, after all, and she was a civilian government official) the book adaption said he was gana be a storm trooper Lego did have a bantha in one of there animations. that means theres a 3d model of it that could be turned into a mold. http://www.groovebricks.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/LEGO-Bantha-1.png Quote

Darth Kylo Ren Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 If we got a new death star I would be disappointed if it only came with Microfigures. I think I want just a remake of the last one. Quote

The-Nexu Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I don't feel that we deserve the leaks, I'm just wondering why such a seamingly random set has been verry well hidden when some TFA set images have been shown. I guess that the themes with knew movies coming out are just getting more security than other themes. Quote
BluePulse Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I think it would be amazing if lego could give C3PO one dual molded leg with silver so he has his silver lower leg like in the movies. then i would have to buy the droid escape set despite already owning the old one Quote
LordLEGOtube Posted November 2, 2015 Posted November 2, 2015 I will continue to hope that it is because of a bantha or something But why would they put a bantha in a £25 set which already has 4 minifigures? Also I don't see how it is relevant in that scene because it wasn't even there in the movie, and if it is in the set, I don't see how it would fit into the box art, it would just be at the side of something and would look pretty weird. The only way we would know was if there was a drawing of one, like in 2014’s mos eisley cantina’s dewback on the prelim box art. Another question, how much bigger is the droid escape pod from 2012’s one? And does it open at the top like in the movie? I hope like every other Star Wars vehicle that it's not too out of scale, like the previous one was. Are the sides of it a sticker or do they use greebling? I think it would be amazing if lego could give C3PO one dual molded leg with silver so he has his silver lower leg like in the movies. then i would have to buy the droid escape set despite already owning the old one That is exactly what I was thinking and I think it would be a great idea! Quote
TeufelHund Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 A bantha would make most sense in a new landspeeder set, and give the cantina is still available and includes a landspeeder it's unlikely we'll see such a set in the immediate future. It would be nice to get a set with a couple of Tuskens too as the Skyhopper doesn't do much for me. An episode II Tusken Village might also have a bantha I guess, but I would expect another landspeeder long before that materializes. Quote
Darth Malgus Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Tuskens and banthas in any Tatooine set would be good. Quote
Fives Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Tuskens and banthas in any Tatooine set would be good. I'd love a Tusken Camp set with Anakin and Shmi and two regular Tuskens. Give us a tent, a bantha and the Lar's family swoop bike and you've got a nice set. Quote

"Rescue Shmi from slavery and slay the men, women, and children like animals- only to have her die anyway! Have fun reenacting Anakin's descent into the dark side with 4 Tusken Raiders to brutally murder! Set features chains for Shmi Skywalker, a speeder bike, two huts, a Bantha, and cloth to wrap up your mother's dead body!" They should also just go ahead and make an "Assault on the Jedi Temple" set with younglings and Anakin too Perhaps I have taken this too far.....maybe... Quote
