Why would he (or rather it) be in a Battlepack? Those usually don't include named characters Besides, he's a selling point in both the X-Wing and the Falcon sets

I dont know what i was expecting, but the Ghost and the AT-DP look like a hot mess, their insistence to put the color accents on the Ghost really ruins the coherence of the model, the AT-DP... looks worse then a generic battlepack walker, the side-cupolas and the gun are just terrible, if they'd taken some clues from the polybag it would looked nicer.

The Tie-proto looks pretty awesome though, ill be getting a couple of those for sure, much better then the Wave 1 Interceptor too.

Me too! Sorry we have to do this but dealer catalogs are all prelims and against our guidelines. I appreciated how excited you guys are about the product but we have to adhere to the rules. So it looks like the escape pod sides are hinged and open out, and the top comes off, this is good. I don't like the way it is just a cylinder and the top looks horrible. And what is that piece in the sand, the Death Star plans?

I kind of like the interceptor more now, I've noticed that the astromech is higher up than before but it is too different from Anakin's.

It also turns out that the tan bricks in the hoth set were real as well.

Good thing I saved the pictures of the microfighters, but I can still access the images from the gmail app that shows me the original post, but I think they look rubbish.

It looks like I'll be off to brink link to buy a whole bunch more rifles and blasters. I guess I just have to accept that battle packs = stud shooters.

I can't believe how well the resistance trooper BP turned out. Everyone seems impressed too. It was the one I had the least interest in and now it looks to be the best of the January sets by far. Even the little speeder build is fantastic.

I know no one cares but my thoughts are:

75131: Love it. Definite purchase. Personally I'm not sure if the yellow visor is printed on the faces or molded in the helmet. I'll wait and see, if it's not printed I'll definitely get multiples for all those head variations.

75132: It's been said already, pretty disappointing to have two officers. I already have all the TFA FO officers from the TIE and Shuttle I don't need an army of them that out number the stormtroopers.

75134: I'll buy one and remove the damage on the helmets. I would have bought many more if the stormtroopers were generic like in the advent calendar or Star Destroyer. That is one officer I'd like to have and I'll probably brick link a second.

75138: I could do with an extra snow trooper and hoth trooper. I'm curious to see Han's alt face.

I'll get all three OT sets eventually but I'm not going to rush out to buy them and I'll just wait for a nice discount.

I'm surprised quite a few people don't have a Boba Fett. The Skiff wasn't that long ago and a really nice little set.

At a casual glance it looks like a blaster rifle, but taking a closer look, it looks slightly larger. It could be the plans, although if they were, they would be massively oversized.

I think it's definitely a 2x2 black plate with printing.

I wonder what the interior will look like.

Actually, looking at it now, I never realised that the top was transparent! And it looks like it also uses a 4x4 circular plate with a hole in the middle.

I downloaded the Pdf but they're all prelims.

What's interesting is that in the prelim for the BF BP it just has 4 regular OT stormies, 2 of them with additional jet packs

For everyone disappointed with the lack of undamaged OT stormies - I reckon we'll be seeing them turning up in numbers in the Rogue One sets this time next year.

From the standpoint of a guy looking to get back into the Star Wars license, this year's wave is a win for me! I dabbled in a few Clone Wars sets back in their last years, but was generally a straight Mega-Bloks only collector back then. However, I have The Force Awakens variant of the Falcon put away for Christmas, and hope to get the rest of this year's wave of set's in the January Sales. So for me, all these new Battlepacks are a fantastic springboard, as I want some old Rebel Army variants and Imperial Soldiers to use as historical battlefield waste in potential TFA MOCs. The Battlepacks this year are great in my eyes - I just agree that one more FO Stormtrooper was a must!

The TFA Battle packs looks excellent! But I still wonder what's the real set name for the TFA B-Wing set.

I've got no idea. The only reputable info I've seen on it is the name and set number listed on brickset.

But in my humble opinion high set number, absence from retailer catalogues and very sparse info while all other sets have leaked equals exclusive.

If I had to guess I'd say it from Rebels based on it actually making an appearance in that show.

I feel like I should point out - that theorized B-Wing set we saw a while back is definitely a Force Awakens sets now, as there were two of what we now know are Resistance Troopers in that set. That means the female figure was most likely older Leia.

Now for my overall opinion on the 2016 sets:

75131: Love the mini figures selection and the helmets, the speeder is nicely done too.

75132: The turret is nice, but the minifigure selection are disappointing.

75133: Same opinion like 75131.

75134: Minifigures are excellent, but I'm not a big fan of the turret-thingy.

75135: Way too similar like the 2014 version. I pass on this one.

75136: The escape pod looks excellent and very detailed. The minifigures are also excellent too.

75137: Minifigures are excellent, but the chamber are a little bit undersized.

75138: The turret is nicely done, but the Probe droid.......not so much.

The Resistance helmet is a pretty impressive bit of engineering. TLG has managed to incorporate a molded trans visor and movable faceplate without making a helmet that looks as bulky as, say, Iron Man, for example. It may turn out to be similar in size to Iron Man's helmet, but the proportions look much better.

Yes!!! R6 UNITS are conformed in lego! (not really) (they are is the movie though) but look at those engines on the escape pod and also the resistance battle pack. They could of just reused the R5 series head but no they made a new piece for the new head model. (or at least I hope it is) I just love astromechs.
