What's up with the torso of the second First Order stormtrooper, though? Couldn't they have given him a normal one or something?

Edit: On a side note, any chance somebody would be able to pick up a C-3PO polybag for me to do a trade or something? If they're already out, that is.

Oh wow. Thanks for the pics, CM4Sci!

As for me, I'm all over that droid escape set and the FO battlepack. Yeah, slightly disappointed at only one regular FO trooper, but the new guy looks pretty decent as well, so no worries. The droid escape looks great though! I wasn't around for the first iteration, and in fact just got my first Threepio from the TRU TFA polybag, so that's awesome. I love the silver leg printing, though I wish it were dual-molded instead. Would have looked far better, IMO. I may get the carbonite freezing chamber since I think it looks pretty cool.

@General Magma - Just saw your comment above. PM me if you want me try to snag you a TFA C3PO. I've got a few of TRUs around me that usually have extras after the promo ends.

He is a heavy gunner.

I'm surprised that nobody has mentioned something from the Carbon Freezing Chamber set:

There's a 1x4 Technic brick visible in the image.

We know that TLG tends to use several of any part, rather than have singletons. I wonder if there are more of the Technic brick that we cannot see to help make a complete ring, and/or connect modularly to future Cloud City sets?

...and unless my eyes decieve me, are Boba's toes printed?

Good news from The Brick Fan!

Name is 75098 Assault on Hoth

We will be seeing everything we saw before.

Apparently we're also getting a small Wampa cave with Luke and a Tauntaun with Han.

Just made it worth buying. Although at that price, I might just buy the Tauntaun and Wampa secondhand like I did with all of the Ewoks. Still, it would be very cool to get these creatures as I'm a big fan of molded LEGO creatures.

Yes! A Wampa and a Tauntaun are the only things I actually wanted.

Exactly, I had written this set off before this news.

And about the other sets, 75131 - 75138, none interest me too much. Shame there's no printing on C-3PO's arms or the sides of his legs in the Droid Escape. That's a huge miss, in my opinion, a step backwards from the polybag release. Might buy it just for the Jawas, though. And if Boba Fett doesn't have the arm printing, I don't think I'll get that set, either. I'll probably just buy myself an Ugnaught.

So, overall disappointment, especially with the minifigures that are worse than their predecessors, but excited about the prospect of Tauntauns and Wampas.

Wow I'm really liking what I've seen with the new sets so far even if they're on the small side (better for my wallet I suppose).

I can't believe how great the Rebel (and Resistance) packs are overall with their great selection of figs and pretty nice vehicles too.

The Empire (and First Order) are pretty good but I don't think we needed another ground crew in the FO pack. Really wanted another flame trooper. The Gun looks...ok. Might warm up to it.

Also not liking the model for the Empire BP either. But enough complaining since I'll probably try to buy them all anyway. lol

Is this the first time ever for a minifigure to have toe printing?

Might be for star wars if I'm not mistaken, but Chima is one theme I know that does it all the time.

Not at all. Square Foot is the first that comes to mind, but even the Boba Fett from Slave I has the toe print.

This Boba Fett may be lacking in the arm print, though, which is a disappointment. If so, I'll keep waiting for another as good as in the Slave I without the absurd price tag.

Lol what... a UCS playset. It's going to be huge if it retails for $250.00 USD.

Not really. If it includes 2000 pieces and around 10 - 12 minifigs it'll be priced at 250 USD.

I'm a little disappointed that the First Order Battlepack doesn't include the Assault Walker as seen in this Hasbro toy.

Would've been a perfect fit, considering how small it is. Guess I'll have to MOC it.

Other than that, I'm extremely happy with how the sets have turned out so far. The Carbon Freezing Chamber is the best of the bunch. Can't wait to see the other TFA sets!

IM really surprised how well they designed the droid Escape set, the escape shuttle looks amazing. Add in the new-ish C3PO and R2-D2 variants and TWO JAWAS And I'm definitely tempted.

They had quite a few options for the FO battle pack I guess. For example the First Order elite speeder bike. I still really dig the set and I'm one of the few here who really likes the FO heavy gunner.

Looking at the Carbon Freezing image and I'm convinced you'll only need 2 to complete an octagon. Could look really nice.

If 2,000 pieces does not result in a huge set then I don't know how high your standards are.

Boba fett from the 9496 Desert Skiff also had toe printing - it was a fantastically printed minifigure for the time.

I also notice the set number on the corner of the set images leaflet is 30605 - the Finn polybag. Does this mean the source of the image might also have some images of the Finn minifigure at some point?

Sandtrooper in the earlier Droid Escape also had toe printing.

I'm really happy with the totally new variant (heavy trooper) in the new FO battle pack, but would still have lost the crewman in favour of another standard stormie. The Battlefront pack has it right. Two troopers, a variant and a crewman. My Imperial army is severely short of crewmen (the all black guy from the Microfighter and the light grey one from the ISD) compared to Stormtroopers

Just noticed there appears to be two different Jawas in the droid escape set, good news.

With that said, if that is the only difference in the printing, it could be salvageable with some nail polish remover and careful hands. Yes, I said it.

I'll do the same thing with my Stormies.

I think these are all great sets. Though i will only buy the droid escape, carbon freezing chamber and the rebel set with the rodian in it, they are very playfull and my guess is that kids will love it.

If this is accurate they really missed an opportunity for a Hoth UCS set. That doesn't seem worthy of the UCS label, whereas an AT-AT could have been an immediate classic.

I'm 99.9% sure Hasbro made that up for their toyline. So, Lego using it for their design would be strange, since they, nor the movie artists came up with that design/model. But I agree, would've been better than whatever we got in that set. Especially cause the Resistance vehicle looks a lot cooler.

IMO, would've preferred an updated version of this
