Isn't that JJ Abrams' friend, Greg Grunberg?

Childhood friend I believe yes. Shows up in a lot of his films & programmes.

That would be Gorwyn in the movie I believe...

The microfighter snowspeeder looks closer in size to the source material than the full sized version does. I think that between the 2 sets, it should be possible to MOC something more screen accurate - just a case of waiting for some more images... roll on the Force Awakens Visual Dictionary.

Thanks to the FO Snowspeeder Microfighter, there is now a cheaper way at getting the FO Snowtrooper. However I am Most Displeased At The Lack Of His Kama.

Yeah it's much better than 40$ set. I just surprised that Lego choose Snowspeeder instead of FO TIE. I wanted that pilot for cheap.

I didn't even pay attention to the missing Kama! That is annoying, maybe it can be bricklinked? Otherwise maybe I reconsider purchasing the FO Snowspeeder set instead.

Ironically, the snowspeeder microfighter seems more accurately sized than the full size one. Glad I can get a snowtrooper cheaply, but bummed that there's no butt-cape.

I expected the X-wing to include a droid head like the OT one.

The lack of a droid head is the most disappointing part for me... whether a BB-8 head in another deco (to represent a BB-8-style droid or a mini R2, whichever) or an R5 cone or R2 round head with brand-new deco ala the OT X-wing MF, either would've worked... we know some of the new X-wings have OT-esque astromechs including R5s, R6s (formerly EU-only), and even the new R0s (cones between squat R5s and tall OT R4s). The latter would require a new element, tho... :sceptic:

Would love to get an official Lego "R6" in one of the upcoming sets in the next year or two, tho...

I though about the same thing too. The last X-wing had the head piece of R2-X2 which if you also bought the advent calander with the christmas tree R2 you can combine it to make a full R2-X2 mini figure. I really want the new R6 series astromechs as they are present on the resistance X-wings in The Force Awakens and also a new LEGO dome piece is present for the resistance battle pack and the droid escape so that piece might come to use? Also give more love to the R4 units! We have a Lothal astromech but no R4? Come on...

They're rather expensive on BL at the moment. It's almost more cost effective to just buy the whole Snowtrooper.

We should see Takodana soon

I think I wet myself a little when you said that.

Did any of you see the French shopping magazine (It has been removed from the internet, I have the PDF saved), it has a teaser image of a pile of parts from the Battle of Takodana set.

does it have bb 8 on it?

I'm still wondering why that set hasn't been revealed/leaked yet... Maz Kanata is clearly visible on the official poster and parts of her castle and the battle it's involved in have been shown in some of the TV trailers, so there's nothing left for the set to spoil  The movie counterpart of the Resistance Troop Transport on the other hand has yet to be revealed and we still got a picture of the LEGO version

It's possible that Kylo's got some cybernetics or scarring or something that the Vanity Fair pic was intended not to spoil (whatever it could be, it'd have to leave his hair untouched as we see his hair from behind in the trailer as he approaches Finn)...

Maybe not likely, just possible.

While I heard the set will have Kylo, what if it has him unmasked or something?! There may be a spoiler there.

Perhaps that's why they saved the set for January, so it would come after the movie to not spoil anything.

Yes, like the teaser for Rey's speeder.

The battle packs don't reveal spoilers, but they are also coming out after the movie.

I thought someone despatching the sets would have taken pictures by now.

I posted that a while back, yeah. People thought it was fake because of the bad rendering and typos.
