maiq the liar Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Hm..if the norml sets got sexy/10 and that may very well be the highest rating...i'll do this like giygas: You cannot comprehend this set's form of sexiness! Quote

Hewman Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Picture of the back of the box! It looks like all three buildings have interiors! In addition it looks like the Service Station swins open to make it playable.I. Am. In. Love. Best set EVER. I think I'm going to have to buy two! Is that a turnstyle I see in the town hall made from plants? How cool. Quote
Section8 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 As a huge fan of the Art Deco style, I am eagerly anticipating this set. Yeah, the colors on the theatre could have been a little better, but judging by the picture it is mostly generic bricks, so substituting them should be easy. It reminds me alot of the theatre in the town where I went to college. Normal, Illinois Theatre if you want to compare. I love the new gas station as well. I'm undecided on the town hall, I'll have to see better pics. I'll definitely be getting two of this set. It will be the first set I'll keep an unopened copy of ever. Quote
Darth_Legois Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 I LOVE THIS SET accept the big price tag that will come with it |-/ >:-( but its so cool..... :'-) Quote

iamded Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Amazing! It's like 3 sets in one! It's fantastic! Does anyone know if this is a S@H exclusive? Sorry if this has already been asked. 8-| ~Peace Quote
Order66 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 That is so sick!!! its one of them lego sets back from the 50's but remade as today and in better detail! Wow!!! Quote
Blank Space Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 That is really nice, however I was looking for some more modular buildings. Perhaps they'll release some more later? I really like the cinema and the town hall thing. The wedded couple is a nice touch Quote
marvinblue Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Very nice.Reminds me of the movie "Back to the future". Nice thing is, that even though its got a 50's feel, it would still work with alot of todays sets as well. The movie theater would look good next to cafe' corner. I really like gas station too. I really like the fact that they included a service bay with a role up door! Sweet! These were my thoughts down to the letter! I can still hear Huey Lewis and The News playing in the background!! *sweet* That petrol station / garage would make a really nice showroom for a car dealership! Quote
ZeekyBoogeyDoog Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 YAY!! I love the movie theater, the City Hall, the fountan and the nwelyweds and that 50's era car with the ridiculous fins. I'm really happy we are getting sets that reflect civilian life; I mean, it's about time we got an Art Deco movie theater ;-) Quote

Shadows Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 When we first saw the name for this set, and the minor amount of inventory we could gather, I couldn't help but think of the old Town Plan sets, I even mentioned it in that thread, but I never imagined we'd get this ... 8- Quote

rexcal Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 That is just beautiful... not to mention being a bit freakily close to Back to the future! :-D Here's hoping Lego sell it at cost as a birthday gift to us! :'-) Not only do some parts of this beautiful set remind many of us of "back to the future" - The Lego Company itself also must have found a way to travel in time!!! That's what they needed our money for! Or how else can it be explained that we see a picture in October 2007 showing a man playing with the set in 2008? *wacko* ;-) Quote
