Oh man, this set is really a must-have and not only for the collectors.

When I saw this set I thought: I know this picture. And indead, it stands in The Ultimate LEGObook and it is really KKK who stands on both of the picture's.

What I like the most of it, is the 1950's/1960's look. Now we can get some of those 'old' sets.

Only let's hope that it won't be to expensive. I'm affraid that this one will cost about 150,- up to 200,- euro's.

But! I'm going to buy him. That's for sure. *y*

Earlier on in this 200+ posts topic (I don't blame you for not reading them all ;-) ) the price was mentioned and stated at 150 euros, not exactly a bargain but probably worth it.

I merged this with the original topic as there's no reason to have a separate topic for price and release date. Unfortunately I have no answer for your question. I imagine it will be released in January as the pictures are already showing up in the lego website cache.

Oh, I really would like to know the price as well.

BTW, what is the Lego cache? Could someone give me a link? Thanks!

Very nice.Reminds me of the movie "Back to the future". Nice thing is, that even though its got a 50's feel, it would still work with alot of todays sets as well. The movie theater would look good next to cafe' corner. I really like gas station too. I really like the fact that they included a service bay with a role up door! Sweet!

Yeah, I can just picture it..."Doc, Doc! Wheres the LEGO Delorean?!" :-P But it could be kinda cool, in fact it actually looks alot like the 1985 scenes in there. Anyway, I think this set is amazing. Honestly, this set is awesome!

Long time no see, this Town Plan. Hmm. I'm think I'll buy this one if I get the oppertunity, but I wont be especially looking for it. Perfect set, but a little bit expensive.

It's on ebay already! Link here, some guy from Germany is selling three copies for euro 189,99 each.

Expensive...

Thanks simonwillems! That's very welcome news! I hope we see this set on SAH very soon. I'm so excited about this set. I know it's a 50th anniversary LE, but I hope we see similar sets branch off of it's release! :'-)

Ok, let me explain myself:

Please make sure your posts are pertinent and on topic aka "not spam." Thank you.

I think my post is absolutely pertinent and on topic: the expression "Holy Ole Kirk" is like saying "Holy God" because Ole is the creator of our hobby.

And the expression is referenced to a "wow" exclamation about the price tag. I think it is not spam or off-topic.

Perhaps you say that because I'm not native-english-speaker and these expressions are not common in english idiom... but as far as I know, english speakers do.

And, of course, there are many many posts in this forum and all aroud the internet, full of short posts like mine, and I think it doesn't deserve your critic. I love and support the moderation task, but I think my post was absolutely pertinent and of course on topic.

Back to the topic, there's a new post: http://eurobricks.hosting.ipsyn.com/eurofo...showtopic=13447 containing pics and so. Beautiful set.
