Legostone Posted April 2, 2016 Posted April 2, 2016 Please do! I didn't quite understand it from our previous conversation. There. Have a tutorial on building masts. Quote
Legostone Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 I must say that I am not happy with the current situation in Eslandola, as our king is risking the peace with Corrington just because he is related to the former king of Oleon. If our relations worsen I suspect a risk of a sudden loss of support for your throne. If he thinks that his family is that important, than he should at least leave us out of this situation! Quote
kabel Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 Why are we the risking Eslandola's relation to Corrington? Explain, citizen! Quote

If our relations worsen I suspect a risk of a sudden loss of support for your throne. If he thinks that his family is that important, than he should at least leave us out of this situation! No need to start worrying! On the contrary I suspect that Corrington will be quite glad if their friendly neighboring king were to be seated in Grandoleon! Their queen can hardly be offended by Eslandola's having a possible quarrel with Oleon at least... Quote

I will talk with the High Council about your concerns. His claims as new king of Oleon are very legit, but we assure you that the moment our king dares to declare war to Corrington we will step in, so don't worry Quote
Legostone Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 There have been rumours that not all members of Corrington are to excited about your relations and actings towards Oleon. I am just saying that if there were a war to happen with Corrington I would not be supportive. Quote
kabel Posted April 4, 2016 Author Posted April 4, 2016 the moment our king dares to declare war to Corrington we will step in Treason! Dear son in law, this is treason. He does not question King and father in law! Quote

The foremost task of every loyal subject is to rally behind their King when asked to take sides, and to trust His Majesty's wisdom - not question His Majesty's Royal authority. One might ask where your loyalties lie My first loyalty always lies with my bank account, and if that is at risk, in the case of a possible war with Corrington, I'll not care about my second loyalty the king. Maxim I Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 There shall be no doubt! OOC, yeah, my real father in law showed us today even wise men can be seriously stupid and shortsighted when it comes to pride. Quote
Kolonialbeamter Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 Perhaps it is time for the trade companies to renew their sacred vows to the only true and legitimate ruler of Eslandola, King Fernando, just to forever do away with all false rumors about wrong loyalties within the sacred borders of the eslandian realm. MKJoshA Posted April 4, 2016 Posted April 4, 2016 For all of you who are unhappy with following a king, you can always delete your current EB account, create a new one, and join the Sea Rats! (just kidding, don't do that, I think it's against EB policy) Quote

halixon Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 I do somewhat agree with Legostone. If Corrington's peace with us is broken, it could follow up into a war. Quote
gedren_y Posted April 5, 2016 Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) I regret to inform my fellow Eslandolians that I will need one more day of photo editing for the Dark Lightning. I can tell you that she is currently engaged in live-fire gunnery drills. The political climate may influence the story in the posting. ----------------------------------------------- To His Majesty, King Fernando: Fair Highness, I counsel against attempting to press your claim to the Oleon crown. It is true that you are the grandson of a once king of Oleon, but your cousin is the son of a once king of Oleon. His is the greater claim, and you would be seen as a usurper. Any attempt to gain the throne could lead to a major armed conflict. Such events would greatly deplete the Royal coffers, and could likely increase the coffers of private trade companies. Should you somehow succeed in claiming the Oleon crown; you may find that governing Oleon to me more taxing than your current state obligations. Trusted sources inform me that the late King Stephan II spent a great deal of time in administrative management of the various bureaucracies, including the divisions within the Order of the Faith. Our own trade companies are less demanding when it comes to governmental oversight. I hope my counsel is well received, and heeded in this matter. Yours faithfully, Alexander Doblin, Viscount of Eslandola. Edited April 5, 2016 by gedren_y Quote
