Maxim I Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Welcome Cpt Braunsfeld! Yes I got an European opponent in Eslandola :D (considering Kabel, Titus and me are loyal to the king) :) Quote
TitusV Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Well, guys. This morning I got a letter of the post saying that I could come and get my bricks at the office... Saturday! So no posting my official sigfig this year, but I'll keep you up to date! Quote
Kai NRG Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Welcome Capt. Braunsfeld! - Everyone, I've updated the player list (second post) and I think I got everyone but if anyone's missing, pipe up! Quote
Garmadon Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Welcome CB, glad to see more ETWC members! Quote
Captain Dee Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Aha! So the esteemed Captain B. has chosen to "go green." Shouldn't there be a press conference or something? Dinner gala? New Year's Banquet? Can we at least launch some fireworks? Fire a cannon? Anything? (I don't drink, so that's out of the question...) Good to see you active here, Captain Braunsfeld. I can't wait to see what you'll build next. Quote
TitusV Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Shouldn't we change our flag towards a monkey? Quote
Captain Braunsfeld Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks everyone for the warm welcome. Welcome Cpt Braunsfeld! Yes I got an European opponent in Eslandola :D (considering Kabel, Titus and me are loyal to the king) :) Are you referring to the background map I have chosen? (I should have asked Kabel for his...) I think I 'll be loyal, as soon as I have worked out who is who and the rules of the game... (Good that we met your fiancee - so in this case I know who is who - good luck to both of you!) Aha! As for the banquet you have already seen the Mitgardian Victory Party. Fire cannon? Only when enemy is in sight! What I'll be building? Well, actually I am working on some steampunk MOCs. But they won't fit in here... Shouldn't we change our flag towards a monkey? Let's see. Quote

I was referring to your character working for the ETWC, which is not really loyal to the king :p Quote
Tuben Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) This game seems to be nice :) If I will participate, I am pretty sure I will join Eslandola! Some questions about ETWC and MCTC: 1. How is the attitude towards ETWC and MCTC among the citizens? 2. Are ETWC a fair and just company or are they more just aiming for doubloons and wealth to increase as much as possible? 3. Did the creator of MCTC make the company for some more reason then just thinking that ETWC had a slow pace in making colonial expiditions, and what are Guy K. Wyndson's plans for the company? Garmadon Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ...I think I 'll be loyal, as soon as I have worked out who is who and the rules of the game... I was referring to your character working for the ETWC, which is not really loyal to the king :p You'd like to think that! Just because the East Trade Wind company owns half the country doesn't make it not loyal to the king! Anyhow, if you want to know who is who, all you really need to know is that the ETWC is the best This game seems to be nice :) If I will participate, I am pretty sure I will join Eslandola! Did the creator of MCTC make the company for some more reason then just thinking that ETWC had a slow pace in making colonial expiditions, and what are Guy K. Wyndson's plans for the company? The citizens are essentially indifferent, although of course they enjoy the benefits of Eslandola's free trade and the goods and services made available by the trading companies and the good employment they can obtain from them Just about all Eslandolan's seek to increase their doubloons and wealth but they (and the ETWC) do it through lawful and just means. I'll let Kai answer your last question, as she is the MCTC's leader Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 ...3. Did the creator of MCTC make the company for some more reason then just thinking that ETWC had a slow pace in making colonial expiditions, and what are Guy K. Wyndson's plans for the company? Since Garmadon kindly left me this question - here you go! Guy's father created the MCTC simply because he was tired of the pre-colonialization paperwork the ETWC required. He had no ambitions for expansion, just wanted to start up a colony or two and take it easy. Guy, on the other hand, is eager to be on the top! He realizes that the Old World is too firmly in ETWC hands, so he's decided to focus in on the colonies as the new place for expansion. Thus, his plans are to colonize, colonize, and continue colonizing! And of course gather some political power and maybe even begin to challenge the ETWC on the home front... ...but don't tell Garmadon that. Quote
Maxim I Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Well, that's why my main focus will be setting MAESTRO up as third mayor TC, so the power of Stedor can expand :D Quote

Kai NRG Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Join my trading company because we're awesome. Because we're the underdog, but we're rising. Because we've got a cool dude leading us and not some old fuddy duddy. Because we're going to rule the Eslandian Seas... and all the other seas, for that matter. And because... well, just because! Wow, I ran out of reasons fast. JK. Quote
gedren_y Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Captain Daffyd "Splattersquawk" Prows maintains his status as an independent tradesman. The Dark Narwhal, though light on guns, is a scourge to pirates and a nuisance to Oleon. Quote
halixon Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I'll be posting a sigfig soon, possibly tomorrow! School starts again for me on the 4th, so i won't be at a good start with builds, but hopefully i can get some stuff in! Quote

Garmadon Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Thanks for your answers! :) I would be glad if both of you, Garmadon and Kai, would tell in some sentences why I should join your trading company and not the opposite! What would you say? :) You should join the East Trade Wind Company because it is the richest, biggest, and best company around! Plus, E. T. Wilkinson de Chauncourtois who leads it is just the right person to lead a company, and not some hot-headed young Guy. We also already ply the seas of the world's oceans and own most of Eslandola's old world. Lastly, we're simply the best! Oh, and monopolies on copper, wheat, and oats are way better than monopolies on textile factories and whatever else the MCTC offers Quote
TitusV Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 ... Oh, and monopolies on copper, wheat, and oats are way better than monopolies on textile factories and whatever else the MCTC offers I don't wanna be silly, but if IT ever comes to fighting between the two of you, I would prefer the iron over the cupper monopoly... Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I don't wanna be silly, but if IT ever comes to fighting between the two of you, I would prefer the iron over the cupper monopoly... You bet! And what good are all ETWC's wheat and oats, when we've got the monopoly on clothing - both cotton plantations and textile factories? Now that I think of it, that's another reason to join MCTC. Plus, our colors are green and black, which is so much cooler than green and dark green! Quote
Garmadon Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 I don't wanna be silly, but if IT ever comes to fighting between the two of you, I would prefer the iron over the cupper monopoly... Didn't I mention that the ETWC was peaceful? Well, perhaps, perhaps - maybe we should develop a monopoly on muskets or something... Oh, and ignore Kai on the subject of colors, green and dark green is way cooler What was this discussion started for anyways? I sense a conspiracy... Quote
Bart Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Well if ETCW and MCTC go to war with each other or even are very competitive. They won't notice a pirate flying a false flag very soon. Bart Quote
TitusV Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Hereby I, Elysabeth of Drondil, pledge alliance to Eslandola, it's King, Fernando-Augusto, and their mighty empire. Elysabeth of Drondil: age: 20 married: not yet trade company: none yet skills: a born rider, she loves the cavalry. live on their isle was hard, so she knows a fair bit about surviving in general. She studied engeneering and military architecture at the Academy of Terelli. model: Queen Anetta. A woman ruling an empire... history: The House of Drondil can claim to descendent from the mighty Alric I, Lord of Drond's Feelds. He was one of the most powerfull nobles of his time, and established a mighty bloodline. But his house was traited, the men killed, the women raped and the children sold as slaved. Still, they survived by finding a new home in our mighty Eslandola. There they received a small island (to small to be on a map) from the king. That is were my story starts. A letter arrives at the royal palace of Terreli: "Dearest King Fernando, I, Elysabeth of Drondil, beg your help. I was raised in the New World, were my father governed a small isle. There, live was hard and I was raised with a sword in my hand. When my father found some cupper, the trade income doubled and we became prosperous. I could even study engeneering and fort building (my passion) at the university of Terreli. This was not unnoticed by the ETCW, who wanted to keep their cupper monopoly. So when my mother died and my father dived into the alcohol, and later debts, they saw a chance. My father had to sell the island to pay of his debts, but when he realised what he had done, died too. Now I'm the only one of the House of Drondil left, and I have nothing but my skills. Rumor has reached my ears that you try to increase your power and influence in a race agaist the ETCW. Maybe my skills can be of use to you. Therefor, I beg you for a place at your court. I'm not asking for a place at the High Council, just a little place in your palace I can call mine, and the chance to prove myself and restore the name of the House of Drondil to the height it had under Alric I. Yours sincerely, (Lady) Elysabeth of (the House of) Drondil" So she arrived at the royal palace, where she was granted a chamber by our good king, with only her skills: horseriding and swordfighting are her second nature, while she studied engeneering and military architecture. All of these skills and more she would need to keep high the honor of her house and Eslandola! ---------------------- I'm member!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you like my sigfig and it's story. Quote
Maxim I Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Glad to finally see your sigfig Titus! While being at the royal castle, make sure to meet Lord Mattheus Tomvaximus, head of trade of Stedor and the one in charge of the upcomming MAESTRO trade company :) Quote
