When do these come out actually? Penguin army is definitely something I think I'd like to make, haha.

I do too. I check constantly because I don't want to miss any pictures.

Also, we don't know much about Spooky Boy. I'm guessing no new pieces with him also.

There have to be new pieces somewhere

Now that we know that the Arabian Knight doesn't have any new moulds, that increases the chances for the Spooky Boy to have at least 1

That's true I guess, because they made an extremely similar looking monkey just for Friends instead of using the CMF one.

Speaking of the CMF one, I've seen pictures of one with a brown face instead of a flesh face. Anyone know where that's from? Bricklink turns up nothing.

Saw the Same thing, it's from the "Build a Minifigure" stand at the Lego store. When I first saw it, I knew that it wasn't in any sets. It's completely new.

I saw March of The Penguins and I realized why one might want to amass a penguin army.

Then I saw Batman Returns and that desire completely left me.

The only solution: Amass an army of penguins to take on Batman in an attempt to get revenge for that movie. (Granted, I've never seen Batman Returns, I'm just assuming you dislike it based on your comment).

It strikes me as odd that we're getting a Penguin Suit Guy and an actual System penguin with a different figure. Is that true? Seems like LEGO really likes penguins in this next series.

I bet both the new penguin mould and the Penguin Guy will be very popular among DC fans

Excited to hear it will be a new penguin mold. I don't think Friends animals work that well with System animals, in most cases.

Can you post the picture of the head? I've been spending a lot trying to get new brown faces for my city.

You're right, but I was also thinking the Hiker wouldn't get anything new either, but now Im wondering if it'll have at least 1 new piece.

Good idea! And Batman Returns was...Laughably entertaining.

It was one of those movies that was so bad it's good, but I don't think that was intentional.

Either way, I like Penguins so I'll be getting some of both figures for certain! Unless I die before they come out...I guess it's not for certain really..

The list of the included minifigs as well as the blurry pictures of some of them make me thinking that this series will be getting one of the best ones so far! I'm looking forward to September to get some ot these excellent minifigs (esp. since the Disneys and Soccer series don't interest me)!

Hey, I enjoyed Danny DeVito's portrayal of Penguin.

The Friends penguin mold would work for an emperor penguin with only minor print changes. Size-wise, those would be ideal for some Batman Returns vigs. I will have to watch the movie again to be sure, but I believe there were some smaller penguins as well.

Whatever mold we get, it won't be enough for me because I really want an Opus figure. I don't think TLG would license the comic strip Bloom County (or any of its other iterations), though.

Friends animals and System animals have never crossed over, due to System animals using a blockier aesthetic. So it's no surprise that we're getting a new penguin.

The character acting was on point there, yes. But the character as a character was just not good. Very flat, very static, very boring. He was like a Christmas themed rip-off of The Joker. I prefer characters that are round and dynamic and interesting.

Aesthetically, I enjoyed Batman Returns. But plot and character-wise, it was a mess.

Quite a few of the penguins were just men in penguin costumes, it seemed. The ones at the end especially. So the Penguin Suit Guy will be perfect for that.

I'll have to see how much I like one Penguin Suit guy before I decide to amass an army, but this might be the first "Suit Guy" I've had the desire, as well as ability, to army build; I missed out on the Gorilla Suit guy, and he's the only other I would army build.

I do look forward to seeing somebody's very large collection of Penguins.

Batman Returns was not great, but it was better than Batman Forever and Batman & Robin.

I hope we'll see some pics by the end of this month, like Series 12 in that catalog

And yes, this is me trying to get this thread back on topic again

Yeah...I just watched Batman Forever, and I no longer have any qualms about amassing a Penguin Army.
