Its hard to tell, but I think you're right. It looks very much like its the same hairpiece. I also think the crown is new.

I think it is the same crown. I have that piece in trans-light blue, and it looks just about the same as what's in the image. The lettering gets in the way, though, so I could be wrong. It looks too wide, and too high on the sides, to be the recent Disney Princesses crown.

Darn, I'm hyped for this series. It may not surprise you that the Rogue is my favorite already, hands down. This makes me very happy

There are usually only 2-3, at most 4 figures I really want in every series.. and I end up with some I don't much care for because I'm new to 'feeling' packages..

But with S16 there are.. let me see, Banana Suit Guy, Penguin Suit Guy, Rogue, Pirate, Ice Queen, Imp, and possibly Spy and Arabian Knight.

I'm screwed.

You get used to it. It's really just a matter for feeling out the unique and distinguishable parts.

For instance, Banana will be easy, penguin will be the head + short legs, rogue will be bow/arrow, queen will be the dress piece, Imp is the wings, etc.

Yeah, it's not initially flawless, but practicing the feeling technique will eventually lead to 99.9% accuracy if you're thorough.

I see the same old crown, just a different color. In the last DP Frozen castle, Elsa has a great new crown (I was hoping to get it with the queen, series 15) but it's definitely not the new Elsa crown on that Ice Queen

Exactly.

But I can help but think that such a similar crown would be unlikely.

It would be almost the same crown except for the little balls. It would be a waste for a new mold

Right. Thats what it looks like to me. I hope it is, because that would be a really cool piece.

I completely forgot about him. I can't wait to see what the hiker fig will look like.

I wouldn't expect much out of the hiker. It's going to be one of those minifigures of the series to reuse pieces.

Each CMF wave has around 13-15 new parts

That says what we should expect from the other 7 minifigures....

I counted seven, including the baby. Maybe eight if that item across the chest of the Scallywag is a new blade.

I see these accessories/parts(Not sure if any of these are new or not besides the banana and I'm not bothering mentioning the heads and Torso unless they are unique like the skirt.):

- Pirate: Bandana head piece, and knife(I think, its blurry and flat.).

- Baby Sitter: Hair and Baby.

- Soldier: Light blue hair, gun, and looks like a different colored and printed chest piece like the Laser Mech from Series 15 has.

- Imp: Head piece, Pumpkin Candy Pale, and wings(I'm pretty sure these are attached to a back neck piece and not molded into the torso.).

- Snow Queen: Hair, crown piece, skirt(like series 15 queen, different color and print), and wings.

- Penguin: Penguin cap.

- Banana: Banana suit.

- Mariachi Player: Sombrero, Acoustic Guitar, and Mustache piece.

- Rogue: Bow, 2 head pieces, and looks like something on his back so probably a neck piece as well.

Dont think the Mustache is new. Came out during the lego movie.

I count eight. That includes the baby and the Ice Queen crown, though I'm still not sure of the latter. No figure on the Series 16 bag looks to have more than one new part.

The strap across the pirate's chest looks like print to me. And forget about what I was thinking with the Rogue, the hood is all one piece.

It's known that the Wildlife Photographer and the Dog Show Judge will likely each come with a new animal, so that's 10 new pieces already. Hard to tell what the other figures could bring in terms of new parts. The Spooky Boy and Arabian Knight could give us new hair/headgear. The Kickboxer Girl, Spy and Hiker seem like they could be made with existing parts...

The pirate does seem to be holding a blade across his chest. It goes beyond the shoulder on the left side of the image, so I don't think it's a strap. It may not be a new blade, but it definitely looks like a blade.

I'm guessing that the Rogue's headpiece will appear in future Ninjago sets. If that's the case, there's a good chance we will have it in multiple colors (hopefully they won't print on it).

The baby is not new for this series, as it will be released in the city set first.

They are being released at the same time in the Lego scheme of things. The Leia Endor hair came out just before the Ewok Village, and the City park is coming out just before series 16, but it's still a "new" piece.
