x105Black Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Yeah...I just watched Batman Forever, and I no longer have any qualms about amassing a Penguin Army. Penguins all the way. I feel for you. I am definitely getting at least one penguin suit and one photographer with penguin. I hope the photographer has decent prints to make it more worthwhile. I got the pig and skunk in the last seeies, but didn't care for the related figures. Quote
telaruhn Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Well, considering the Wildlife Photographer is said to have a parka hood, maybe she'll have a generic jacket print (with female curves of course) And a goggled face? Maybe her legs will be two-toned, with boot prints on the toe like the Snowboarder? On that note, are there any ideas of what color scheme she will have? Are we thinking the Orange and Blue like the Arctic sets from a while back, or will she be a peculiar color (Medium Azure comes to mind??) Quote

telaruhn Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 I'd like a different color scheme as well, but I'm not sure how 'different' it will be. For some reason, I could see her wearing mainly orange with maybe some black. Bright colors are needed to stand out from the snow and ice... I would say red, but the Imp is also red (though thats not really here nor there). I don't expect a crazy color like Pink or Lavender. Quote
sunhuntin Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 i wouldnt mind a different color, either. already have enough blue and orange, lol. maybe a bright green? Quote
BrickFit26 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I hope we'll see some pics by the end of this month, like Series 12 in that catalog I would LOVE a nice slow reveal like that. Quote
pittpenguin123 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 Purple and red seem to be common colors of those big poofy coats they wear. Quote
Robert8 Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 I expect something like this And I really hope the new penguin mold will be better proportioned than the skunk in Series 15, which was awfully oversized Quote
williejm Posted May 3, 2016 Posted May 3, 2016 And I really hope the new penguin mold will be better proportioned than the skunk in Series 15, which was awfully oversized Not compared to the rat mould. The skunk was fine. I'm just hoping the penguin is generic enough, I don't want it printed to identifiable species level... Quote
notpennysboat Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Beside snakes and maybe monkeys, a lot of animals are over/undersized : cats, horses, sharks, crocodiles, scorpions, I don't think it's a problem, I'm sure LEGO studies a lot of possibilities. I'm really ok about the skunk, he's fine and adorable :) The penguin should be smaller than the friends one (like the monkey quite similar) Quote
BrickFit26 Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Have proportional accessories and animals is tough. I like them either way. Quote
sunhuntin Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 the only thing with the skunk is i wish the tail had been up. still love it though. im looking forward to creating a small flock of penguins. finally, something for my polar bear to chase. Quote
Ed3n Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 If they can fit a horse into a blind bag, then there should be no problem creating a 'Centaur' (my most wanted mythology creature), in future collectible minifigure series. One can only hope and dream.. Quote

Amazing Bricks Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Or they could easily make a new mold that's a bit smaller than the normal horse. It'd be like Ursula's new piece from the Disney series, except molded into a half horse and easily fit a torso on. Edited May 4, 2016 by amazingbricks Quote
Actor Builder Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 So if anybody has one of those rare Bellville (I think) ponies that are about 2/3 the size of a horse, you could try and fit that into a Minifigure bag. Quote
Darkdragon Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 So if anybody has one of those rare Bellville (I think) ponies that are about 2/3 the size of a horse, you could try and fit that into a Minifigure bag. Or just try a Brickforge centar body which would probably be the most accurate way. Though I really don't see it happening, that would be a huge mold piece to sell for only $4 with everything else the bags include. Quote
Actor Builder Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 (edited) Amendment: Ignore me. I was off-topic and talking about the price. Both are annoying habits and I have moderated myself. Move along. Edited May 4, 2016 by Actor Builder Quote
K_Tiger Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 And now I want to try fitting a horse into a blind bag whenever I get home. Just tried it, and it will fit with a minifig torso and head with no (or little) problem. Quote

Not to be "that guy" but penguins are actually on a completely different pole than polar bears. Polar bears are found in the Northern Pole and Penguins in the Southern Pole. Quote

Though, fact fans, most penguin species don't actually live on Antarctica itself - and some are technically tropical. Handy to know for MOCs maybe ;) Quote
Ed3n Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Thanks K_Tiger for that info! We've got a minotaur, medusa, satyr.. a centaur will make it complete. Quote
CM4Sci Posted May 4, 2016 Posted May 4, 2016 Tried it for myself, too - surprisingly it's small compared to the bag, and it fits perfectly. I really hope that they make one soon - just feel for the flat bag ! Quote

makoy Posted May 5, 2016 Posted May 5, 2016 If TLG can put a pig inside a blind bag, with a little more effort a horse is not far from reality. Hope that TLG accepts the challenge. Quote
