Yooha Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Although a pugsly-like spooky boy would look awesome, the character itself doesn't look spooky at all. He is just a fat boy in a striped T-shirt. The spooky girl at least has a pale face with a creepy, emotionless expression and a spider on her cloth. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Yeah, that's why I'm hoping for something more. I'd honestly like something more like a fraternal twin for her. Quote

Well, I had heard that she was inspired, at least partly, by Wednesday Addams. That's why I think Pugsly would be s good choice for the boy, then you have the siblings. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 (edited) I see the Spooky Girl as a blend between an older Wednesday Addams, and a creepy Japanese schoolgirl. So if Pugsley is an inspiration, then I imagine a teenager, with the striped shirt and a mad science flask, but that's about it. I don't want a kid with short legs. Perhaps a mischievous expression instead of a somber one. When it comes to figures I anticipate like this, LEGO usually exceeds my expectations tenfold, so I'm just wondering how they'll make him great. Edited January 8, 2016 by 8BrickMario Quote
gedren_y Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 It would be cooler if we got a full-sized bear with a plush Spooky Boy. Not too into the idea of this character, and I'd like a black bear, I guess is what I'm saying. I only have a polar bear (which is awesome, I might add). But on the debate about Pugsly Addams vs Eddie Munster, I hope he's more of a Pugsly. I'm not really into vampires, they're too cliche. But Pugsly always had a little something extra. A certain, as the French would say, I don't know what. Then again, I'm an 80's & 90's kid and I loved the Addams Family movies growing up, so I'm prone to choosing in this way. Just one point, Eddie Munster was a werewolf. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 Just one point, Eddie Munster was a werewolf. In the pilot, yes. But he's clearly a vampire in the show proper (widow's peak, fangs, sleeps in a coffin). The Munsters' lines are sort of blurred on Lily's side, though. Quote
Blakstone Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I don't want a kid with short legs. I agree unless they make a new short leg mold where the legs can bend. It would be totally worth short legs if we got that. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 I agree unless they make a new short leg mold where the legs can bend. It would be totally worth short legs if we got that. The only problem is that sitting figures with articulated short legs look ridiculous, as proven by the popular custom version. But considering the aging-up of the Spooky Girl, I'd hope for her brother to be the same. Quote
gedren_y Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 What if TLG went with Addams Family Values and did a version of Pubert? Quote
x105Black Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 I don't want a kid with short legs. Neither do I. I'm kind of sick of short legs, especially in a CMF series where they can do so much more. Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 8, 2016 Author Posted January 8, 2016 What's the difference, really? Just one part more with the same amount of articulation plus hands. Honestly, I wouldn't expect either of the two monsters in this series. They're more likely to reiussue Woody and Buzz, as they're Pixar's most famous characters. Mike and Sulley will either be in future series or never be made at all. Quote

BrickFit26 Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 A mischievous facial expression for Spooky Boy would be nice to have. I also do not want short legs for him. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 9, 2016 Posted January 9, 2016 I wouldn't expect short legs, but a very young looking face for the spooky boy. Pretty much a boy version of spooky girl, not that interesting. Quote

Velut Umbra Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Oh I didn't know we already have news about this series. Banana Suit Guy sounds interesting but I think he will look odd for being a yellow minifigure wearing a yellow costume. I guess it will look like the Annoying Orange: a banana with a face randomly there. Spooky Boy: I expect the Spooky Girl's twin So I don't think he will be based on the Adams Family character. Maybe the barista hairpiece would work for him. Snow Queen: Sounds interesting. I don't know what to expect for her. 2 queens in a row it's an odd idea, IMO Secret Agent: No idea. Maybe a "Men in Black" styled character? Babysitter: Again, no idea. Maybe is going to be a guy to avoid the young mother confusion. Devil Costume: I didnt see this coming. Most surprising character in the CMF line so far Quote

KCMatze Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 That might be...but that does not exactly represent the natural banana colour, doesn't it? Maybe they go for a plantain instead Quote
CM4Sci Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 (edited) Banana suit will likely be cool yellow like the Diner Waitress's outfit. I hope not, that doesn't sound too good. Make a pic? Edited January 17, 2016 by CM4Sci Quote
8BrickMario Posted January 17, 2016 Author Posted January 17, 2016 It's just a thought. Usually they avoid giving yellow outfits or headgear to yellow figures. Quote
x105Black Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 It wasn't always that way: But yes, Yellow Space Men were always my least favorite for this reason. They look naked. Hopefully, there will be something to help differentiate the banana color from the skin tone. Quote
Soupperson1 Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 Banana Suit Guy could potentially be great, I hope he has an accessory unlike Hotdog guy Devil, there was one in a games set so why not? I expect the trident recolor in red. I hope we get an angel as a partner! Spooky Boy this is one of the lamest gender swaps yet, at the very least I hope he has short legs. Snow Queen I'm expecting white skin, the queens dress piece and blue hair Secret Agent is a bit disappointing after only a year with UA, hopefully he'll have a cool printed tile Babysitter probably a girl with braces and acne. I'm hoping for zombie cheerleaders or pretzel girls hairpiece in a new colour. I'm expecting her torso to be messy, with baby food. The baby will probably be in a blue wrapping and the other accessory will be the friends milk bottle ^ speculation It's just a thought. Usually they avoid giving yellow outfits or headgear to yellow figures. The LEGO store employees from last year in the town square set wore yellow. I'd love for more cool yellow outfits though <333 Quote
gedren_y Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 One of the evil knights in KKII had yellow legs and arms with black hips and hands. It looked like he wanted to be dominated. Quote
Amazing Bricks Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I think the banana suit guy would be the bumble bee girl yellow color. Quote
