monsinjor Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Hi here's my first fantasy diorama... The church/monastery/castle/whatever: Front: Side: Back: Evil wizard, controling the dragon: The whole thing: From above: Skeleton army coming through the portal: Opened by skeleton wizard: Marching through the ruins: The leader: Above: This is from exibition, during the set-up. The castle walls are not mine, we just connected two dioramas together... Thanks for watching! More pictures on my flickr. Have a nice day! Edited December 29, 2015 by monsinjor Quote
Puvel Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 The building on its own looks great, but in that scenery... wow! Brilliant stuff Quote
KlodsBrik Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 What a lovely diorama when everything is together. It has a somewhat vibrant variation of Diablo vs. WOW feel to it. Love the picture with the skeleton army leaving the portal. Some of your vegetation is also designed very nice. Great work here. Quote
Fletcher Floyd Posted December 29, 2015 Posted December 29, 2015 (edited) Yeah, the Castle looks really cool on it's own, but with that nice Landscape around it, it's absolutely awesome! Great job!! Edited December 29, 2015 by Fletcher Floyd Quote
Staslegomaster Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 Hi, monsinjor. The main thing of your super cool and detailed diarama reminds me of Dracula's castle in the movie "Van Helsing". Were you inspired by it? How long have you been creating LEGO sets to become so skillful ?!!! unusual building techniques. I wish I learn from you. I like the playability of your creation and that you combined a few different ideas in one set. Were do the black wings come from? Quote
monsinjor Posted December 30, 2015 Author Posted December 30, 2015 Thank you Staslegomaster. Everything is from the head, I was not inspired by anything. Now is the third year as I am into Lego. And the wings... well, you can find it in various sets over the years. Quote
Exetrius Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 What a fantastic build! The fortress is truely frightening; dark, pointy, spikey, pure evil! The surroundings are also loaded with beautiful details, such as the portal (with great use of the technic pieces) and the red tree. Keep on building man! Quote
monsinjor Posted January 1, 2016 Author Posted January 1, 2016 Thank you Exetrius, I'm so glad you like it. Quote
LegoMathijs Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Very nice diorama with lots of details! Quote
LEGO Train 12 Volts Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Damn I completely missed this topic! The beauty of this diorama is beyond imagination, the detail of the whole garden is mindblowing :wub_drool: I can't really handle such a beauty ...top nothc work! The skeletons' portal and the red dragon with chains are my favorite parts! Quote
Stelario Posted February 7, 2016 Posted February 7, 2016 Really nice build, and very detailed. If fit perfectly with "someones" wall. :P Quote
bricklover Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Awesome tower! Cool foliage! Amazing moc as a whole! Quote
sander1992 Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Great architecture! I love the contrast in colors between the castle and the landscape. Great built! Quote
HawkLord Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 Wow, don't know how I missed this when it was first posted. This looks great. The details and overall design is very evil and chaotic which works very well. The colors also add a lot to the chaos impression, as well. Great MOC. Quote
DarkDruid Posted February 9, 2016 Posted February 9, 2016 That castle is amazing. Love the scenery as well. Great work. :) Quote
Forresto Posted February 11, 2016 Posted February 11, 2016 Goodness I cant tell which is better the castle or the landscape both are equally impressive. I love the lushness of the vegatation and trees. Ironically enough even with all the skeletons and death you created a scene fhat feels alive. Quote
Jacob Nion Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 You should join our Cause in Nocturnus in Guilds of Historica. That keep is splendid, really stunning work. And I must say I like the darker vegetation around the castle more than the brighter side of the diorama. Great arrangement of colours. Quote
