What's a good way of mounting a AAA battery box to a vehicle for example? I'm modifying a 42037 and this is my first ever attempt at an RC vehicle.

Eeeh, are you sure you'd want a AAA box? An AA is better for technic models because it uses pins instead of studs and looking at the picture you have on spare you could use. I'm not familiar with RC vehicles but it is best to have the battery box low so the model won't tip over as easily. I think the best would be mounting it upright (like this)because sideways needs more space, something your model doesn't seem to have;)

I haven't been MOCing for very long, but I either 'cradle' this type of battery box, or use these types of parts on the back.

@therize I do because of the huge difference in weight.

You can also use technic bricks to mount the AAA battery box.

I generally cradle it. Build a technic frame around it, and a top that can easily open/ remove to pull the box out.

Hey, does anyone know the exact difference in weight between the 3 different battery boxes (like in grams or something)? (Preferably with batteries installed because AA weight much more than AAA). I only have the AA one.

Specifically, the AA is heaviest, AAA is middle, and rechargeable box is lightest.

Thanks man. Wow, i never knew that the AA one was literally more than double the weight of the other two.

There are a number of ways. One that I think works well is using two 4x4 technic bricks with open centers (part 32324).

You can also use 4 pairs of 11458 plus 18677 on the top and bottom with bracing so they don't come appart.

Put some of these in pin holes

just smush the studs into pin holes. it may not be pretty or the "correct" way of doing it but boy does it hold it good
