blackdeathgr Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 (edited) Not everybody can make it at the seas of the New World... Thanks for viewing P.S: My camera and photographing skills suck big time! Edited January 1, 2016 by blackdeathgr Quote
Gideon Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 Nice concept, good way to set the tone of "keep it dark, keep it realistic" which I like to advocate A suggestion for improvement is to make the land side a few plates higher than the water. Quote
Captain Dee Posted January 2, 2016 Posted January 2, 2016 That's a unique subject to build, and the remains of the boat are nice. The plants (and more wreckage?) look pretty good too but the main part of the beach looks rather empty; perhaps that was intentional. The images look sharp enough and I think better lighting would do the trick. Quote
blackdeathgr Posted January 2, 2016 Author Posted January 2, 2016 (edited) Thanks for your comments guys :-) The brown "things" by the palm trees are fallen barks :) The beach is supposedly wide on purpose. I wanted to show the vastness/lonelyness of the last dying mariner by the bottle. Only drawback is the height difference, result of my lack of tan plates :) Lighting is definitely bad :-( Gideon, i prefer dark reality too, so no unicorns from me :-P Edited January 2, 2016 by blackdeathgr Quote
Garmadon Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Nice build, Blackdeathgr, the wrecks are well done, and the palm trees and skeletons are neat too The sand is a bit plain though, so I would advise trying to incorporate a bit more texture next time, maybe with something like footsteps toward the place the last sailor to spice things up a bit? Maxim I Posted January 3, 2016 Posted January 3, 2016 Great build and as others have mentioned, a very clever and funny idea!! Quote
