Hello everyone,

A few months ago I received a Space Miner minifig from a seller during an event. :classic:

I wanted to create a vehicle for the minifig.

First I thought about a Rock Raider-like vehicle, but then I saw the amount of Chima crystals and thought about making a container ship.

I used the same colors as the minifig and the visor was the inspiration for the front of the ship.

Here you can see the depositing of the crystals.

Feedback and questions are welcome.

I quite like it. It certainly has an utility vehicle vibe. The dimensions are excellent. I do think the underside could use some work. Now it might as well be a locomotive with the undercarriage taken of. Perhaps something to enhance the 'space-feeling'?

Thanks for the feedback.

I'll see what I can do about the undercarriage. I lost my inspiration a bit.

That's pretty neat. Do you have any close up shots?

Thank you. I don't have close up pictures, but I can make some if you want some.

Nice build, in terms of color scheme it's almost like a space schoolbus

Thank you.

My brother said the same thing.

After a few months an update.

I 'raised' the ship a bit.

It has now a few supports.

Thanks again for the feedback Hobbythom. :classic:

Here is the picture of the updated container ship.

Yea! You put it in the right way!

Have you considered the possibility of creating a processing line for the crystals that suits the container ship?

Posted

Yes, I have actually.

But the container ship is in a Space Police III layout right now.

The pictures aren't on Flickr yet, but soon they will be.

Soon I will begin with an other project (not space related).

After that I will pick up the "mining" theme of space.

I like it overall, the only part that bothers me is the orange circle nose. It just stands out too much. But the rest of it is great and I like how you inverted the windshield to match the minifig visor.

Oh, ok then! Good luck with your following MOC's!

I thought the orange circle was kinda funny, but perhaps I can find a replacement to make it look better.

Thank you. I am sure it will work out.

As you can see, it has been two and a half year since I've build the container ship.

I have plans to update my Mining Facility landscape.

I have started with the container ship.

The new version is called TX12-L Cargo Ship.

Feedback is always nice to have.
