Mike S Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 The monument to the First Centurion that Lord Kral had commissioned has finally been completed in Blackrock. Rumor has it the Desert King flew into a rage and executed his agents that brought him the news. Quote
KlodsBrik Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 (edited) Looks great. Nice sculpturing. Reminds me a lot of an area from WOW. Think it was in the dwarfs area. Been so many years since i last played it that i really cant remember. Anyhow, YOC is lovely indeed ! Edited January 4, 2016 by KlodsBrik Quote
Elostirion Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Amazing work. Ulandus isn't defeated, long live Ulandus. ;-) Quote
Exetrius Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Wow! Beautiful work! Especially the upper part with the helmet, shoulders and wings is just so well-done  Quote
Kai NRG Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Great sculpture, really like the head! The wings also are excellent. Quote
TenorPenny Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 It is an interesting challenge to restrict yourself to mostly gold and the elements available. You have finished it very well indeed. Quote
Garmadon Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 I agree with Tenor, great job getting so good a shape with mostly golden pieces! Excellent statue and pedalstool, and the foliage at the bottom adds to the build as well. Good to see some people still thinking of Ulandus! Quote
Blufiji Posted January 4, 2016 Posted January 4, 2016 Nice statue, great to see Ulandians still believing. Quote
Hammerhand Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 (edited) Really cool statue Mike! It looks quite magnificent, I must say, even though it doesn't hold a candle to the glory of the great Desert King…. Edited January 5, 2016 by Hammerhand Quote
Gideon Posted January 5, 2016 Posted January 5, 2016 Great statue! We don't see nearly enough of those in Historica... I'm impressed by the good shape you've managed to create with the limitiation of using so many gold pieces. Regarding the photography, I'm getting boring nowadays but I will keep commenting on that the white balance should have been adjusted better since the colors don't look right when the WB is off... soccerkid6 Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Quite an impressive stature for sure! Love that helmet especially But equally impressive is your sweet pedestal Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Magnificent statue ! I like the wings ! Great challenge doing this statue with mainly gold bricks ! It is impressive to see what we can do with these new ball joints now ! (I don't have many so I have to deal with some old building methods by now...) Quote
Spader Posted January 12, 2016 Posted January 12, 2016 And you officially have way more gold than me..........anyway, nice work here. Keep it up! Quote
Mike S Posted January 12, 2016 Author Posted January 12, 2016 I will be updating this soon. Better pics and slightly improved.... Quote
Kayne Posted January 13, 2016 Posted January 13, 2016 You know, I tried a statue once...it stunk. I could not make it feel natural, but you were able to capture that feel here! Nice shaping and pose Quote
