A Gallifreyan Cat Posted January 6, 2016 Posted January 6, 2016 Tying his rowboat down to the dock, Hector stepped over the icy rocks, and up to the door of his cottage. It wasn't much, but it was home. He supposed a world-class cartographer deserved better, but money said otherwise. He stepped inside, lit a fire, and settled down to another nice evening. *********************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************** Here is the whole scene: Quote
TitusV Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Good scene! I especially like the wooden planks Quote
Tezclatipoca Posted January 7, 2016 Posted January 7, 2016 Good scene ! I like this little wooden quay ! Btw, your blue baseplate hasn't been used for some time, it is a bit dusty... Good use of the little brown bar to enhance the transition between the slope part and the horizontal parts. I like the idea, maybe I will "borrow" it to you ! Quote
Gideon Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Nice to use the trans-clear tiles for (what I think is supposed to be) ice Which part of the Madrice peninsula is this located at? The baseplate seems to need a bit of cleaning however...? Quote
Bregir Posted January 8, 2016 Posted January 8, 2016 Looks like a cold and uninviting place... I mean, what a lovely home! ;) Great snow and ice effects, and the rocks are good too. I will have to agree with the others about the muddy water/dirty base plate, but I know the problem from myself. :) Quote
Captain Dee Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I also think it looks kind of cold and uninviting, especially when you consider the wind coming in off the sea. Perhaps that explains the lack of windows. The rocks are nice and I really like the way the dock angles up to meet land, although it would be hazardous with a coating of ice or snow. There's no place like home, eh? Quote
