Bionic-Sun Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 News at 11! Shocker as LEGO Star Wars set 7666 Hoth Base has been removed from the Shop at Home website! http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Leaf.aspx?cn=240&d=322 Looks like the "local" TRU is the only option for me now. :-/ Quote
daoudbazaar Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Still available in North America http://shop.lego.com/ByTheme/Product.aspx?p=7666&cn=240 X-D It seems a little odd to withdraw it a short time before Xmas ? 8-| Looks like bug ... Quote
Siegfried Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 It's missing for Australians still. :-| Quote
Lt. Col. Thok Posted October 22, 2007 Posted October 22, 2007 Its a bug, hopefully. Lego.com is very unpredictable. Quote
Hewman Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 this is the message I got when I added it to my cart shopping in the US and then changing back to Australia, not a good sign, not even listed as being on backorder. "Since this item is not available for sale in the country that you have chosen - it will be removed from your cart." Quote

The good thing is that this has happened before and the set often returns. I think this set is overpriced so I wouldn't buy it a S@H anyway... Quote
xwingyoda Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 S@H France has no HB >:-( Lets hope they will render it available pretty soon though BEFORE Christmas shopping ;-) *yoda* Quote
Vader Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 IOt might of been removed because of some sets having the wrong guns inside, sending out new guns must be hitting there profits pretty hard. Quote

Do you think they did that because of the guns issue ? What would be the actual cost to fix a "minor" issue ? Will need to call for guns replacements :-P Anyway lets hope they fix that someday :-D *yoda* Quote

What do you mean "new" guns? Are there MORE new guns in '08? 8-| Dp8 99th Post!!! Edited October 25, 2007 by darthperson8 Quote
Starwars4J Posted October 25, 2007 Posted October 25, 2007 What do you mean "new" guns? Are there MORE new guns in '08? 8-| Dp8 99th Post!!! No, it's been mentioned by some that they had the larger guns in their sets rather than the smaller ones. Naturally they need to ship out replacement guns, and that can end up costing a lot if they have to do it in large numbers. I doubt it's gone for good already :-P (or at least hope not...) Quote

Those I bought at TRU had larger guns. :-( I called LEGO Direct since. They told me the factory had been short of small blaster. As they didn't want to release sets without blasters, they replace them with longer one. Of course, no pbm to send the smaller ones afterwards. *sweet* The same problem happened with Jabba's sail barge (plain tan plates 8 x 8 instead of ones with grill) and this set has never been withdraw from S@H. So I don't think that it has anything to do with HB issue. Edited October 25, 2007 by daoudbazaar Quote
Piranha Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 *Runs to Every single store that still has the HB and buys them all* Muwahahahaha.......Now I can sell them back to all the people who didn't believe in the limited edition for Ridiculously high prices...... :-P Probably has something to do with the blaster error. voltio Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 I know that it's always better to have the correct parts in Lego sets, but this blaster error seem almost beneficial to me. I mean, there are tons of short blasters in sets like the new MTT, but fewer opportunities to get the long ones. Quote
Looking for a display name Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 i spoke 2 lego today in the uk they'll be back by new years <:'( i never got one Quote
Vader Posted October 26, 2007 Posted October 26, 2007 i spoke 2 lego today in the uk they'll be back by new years <:'( i never got one Well some TRU still have them on the shelves over here in the UK, i went to one last week and they had a few there. Quote
Mofo Jones Posted October 29, 2007 Posted October 29, 2007 I have a HB that I haven't built yet (busy with work and school) so I haven't checked it for short or long blasters. I don't care either way which ones are in my set, just as long as there are enough blasters for the figs that should have them. Quote
KarlMarX Posted October 31, 2007 Posted October 31, 2007 The Hoth Rebel Base is back at Shop@home (For The Netherlands), but sold out. Also it states a limit of two sets a customer. So maybe it is to come back. Also at the TRU in Almere, Holland, there were plenty of Hoth Rebel Bases left. Quote
