Agree. Star Wars is about the Skywalkers. One of 3 new guys has to be a Skywalker.

TFA is the most successful Star Wars movie ever because it was released in 2015. Fans have been waiting for 3 decades for seeing what happens after Episode VI. And at this point, everyone knows what SW is. And it was heavily promoted in social media.

Those are spin offs............

Kylo Ren being Skywalker is emotionally impactful enough. He is one of the main characters.

Of course TFA is successful mostly because it is a Star Wars movie, but it was undeniably a good movie. None of the main protagonists are named as Skywalker in the film.

And finally what does it matter that the other films I named are spinoffs? They are part of the Star Wars universe. Who says they don't count?

Nice Video! You bring up many good points but that's part of theorizing,most people don't agree. But still it was a good theory.

My theory is Rey is not Luke's daughter but is in fact Han and Leia's.

When you think about the way the characters act around her, it makes sense.

First off Kylo's attitude towards Rey suddenly make more sense if they were brother and sister because the bond is closer. Cousin versus cousin from a story standpoint is also not as strong as a sibling rivalry.

Secondly remember when Rey is sitting, eating lunch, and watching ships leave? It's because whoever left her on Jakku left in a ship like that. Han Solo is the one who dropped her off leaving the millennium falcon for her to later use when she's older, and then left in another vessel. That is the thematic importance of her watching the ship leave and then later her as a little kid watch a ship leave. Also why else would Han leave leave the millennium falcon on Jakku at the village she's in and later seem to immediately find it? It seems like coincidences right but they aren't. Having already lost Kylo to the dark side naturally Hand and Leia would immediately want to hide their force sensitive daughter from him, so why not on the most back water planet they could find. The guilt from having lost his son made Han watch over his daughter somewhat from a distance. Han Solo Obi Waned his daughter basically.

The only real reason people think Rey is Luke's daughter is because of both the expanded universe and this want that at one point Luke had a happy ending (getting married and having kids) before Snoke Ruined it. Yes there is evidence for her being his daughter as well but knowing JJ Abrams style I feel like that would be a way to obvious twist. Her being Han and Leia's daughter is a much better twist.

I have heard a lot more "Rey is a Kenobi" comments showing up too; even my own mother is interested in that possible theory!

Frankly, I just am not to excited we have to wait another year and a half to get Episode 8... Gahhhh! I want answers!

No I think it is based on the idea Kenobi lived 20 years on Tatoinne, and we have no idea what he was up to. He might have for a while started a family, then for some reason had to return to solitude as a hermit. So the child of Kenobi would be in that case, Rey's parent; making her Kenobi's Granddaughter! Supporters of this theory point to the voice cameo of Ewan McGregor and Alec Guiness in Rey's vision scene.

Of course this is all speculation! :) Don't think I am to connected to any theory, just trying to stay busy until Episode 8 arrives. :)

Kenobi's grandchild! That makes sense. Well, it doesn't make sense like I subscribe to that theory makes sense, it makes sense cuz I thought that the theory was that Rey was Obi-Wan's child.

Right, it's so exciting we finally get to look forward to new Star Wars material no one knows anything about!

If Kenobi is the grandfather who is the grandmother...and where are the kids? Did he have some babies in the desert?

Heres my theory,

Snoke is just the deformed palpatine

Rey is luke's daughter

Im guessing that this will happen in episode 8:

Old Lando will join the group

They will reveil that Snoke is Palpatine

Therr will be a 2vs2 battle between Rey/luke and kylo/new sith lord

I feel Lando will come back but I don't think he's Finn's father as some not here but across the internet have said. Just because Lando was the only significant black character of the prequels doesn't mean that he's the father. Still it's possible since they've made Lando out to be a total player in the new EU

But what he did had no Dumbledore wanting to die implications and needing Snape to take his wand... What Kylo Ren did was outright murder.

When the Half-Blood Prince came around, we saw Snape seemingly murder Dumbledore with no regrets. Only later in the Deathly Hallows did we learn that everything regarding Dumbledore's death by Snape's hand was planned.

So regarding Kylo possibly working with the Resistance, we don't know at this point.

That said, considering the reactions of Han when he was impaled, Leia when she sensed it and Kylo's internal conflict, I don't believe it will turn out to be "planned" or some such thing. Of course, Disney could pull a Snape in episode VIII or IX and reveal it was planned, but for now I don't get that impression.

It made sense for that to happen only because of the wand and other reasons regarding moving chess pieces against Voldemort. I highly doubt this was planned due to Luke's actual abscence from the rest of the galaxy, Leia and Han's general concern, and the fact that Kylo Ren aided in the genoicde of trillions of people on Hosnian Prime.
