Nevercallmebyneme Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 I was looking at some of the lego creatures that only appear in games and thought "hey I could make that. I just need the right parts to make the new parts out of." And those parts are these parts: Quote

Found it:- Technic Pin with Friction with Click Rotation Ring (41680) 48171 is intended to work with 47455. It could be there are more compatible parts working with 47455. For 41680 two 41679 are needed. 41681 is needed for both 47455 and 41680 for longer side (or left side pin on the picture above). Obviously you can use beams and connectors as well as these are simple pins.serious? it's that easy?Quick result in LDCad: Edited January 16, 2016 by zux Quote
Nevercallmebyneme Posted January 16, 2016 Author Posted January 16, 2016 can these files be opened in say, 3DSMax for modification? Quote
zux Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 I'm not aware of this possibility. You might want to ask this question in more appropriate subforum - LEGO Digital Designer and other digital tools . Quote
legolijntje Posted January 17, 2016 Posted January 17, 2016 can these files be opened in say, 3DSMax for modification? You can use LDview to export an LDraw file to an .stl or .3ds file. Although, I don't know how good the export quality is. Alternatively, there's also a LDraw importer for Blender (google it). You can import the LDraw file into blender and then use blender to export it to a variety of other formats. Again, there might be quality loss. I have no idea. Quote
TotalyWicked Posted January 19, 2016 Posted January 19, 2016 LeoCad, export to 3ds. In 3ds Max, clean up normal, facing direction in particular, add smooth groups. Done Quote
