From wikipedia: The Audi R8 is a mid-engine, 2-seater super car, which uses Audi's trademark quattro permanent all-wheel drive system. It was introduced by the German automaker Audi AG in 2006.

This is my minifig scale version of the Audi R8, THE dream car for me when I was a teenager who didn't have to think about transporting LEGO to conventions. Iron Man had one, I wanted one. Now I have a minifig scale version :)

I think I started this car a little over a year ago, after mentioning to a friend (and great car-builder) that I wanted to try building a minifigure-scale car. Not that I worked on it all year long but every now and then I came back to the LDraw file, figuring out the difficult shape one by one, trying to live up to my friends expectations and high standards.

About a month ago I finally cracked the last two issues and I'm finally happy with it.

This is a really great and unique Moc! I especially like the angles in the roof design. Its very easy to see what iconic vehicle it represents since its instantly recognisable (which is always the aim for minifig cars in my opinion;) ) . I just find the wheel hub caps a bit large, maybe the standard modern wheels are the better fit? Since they appear smaller... apart from that, truly awesome moc! Keep ob brickin!

Not bad. But it looks more like Auti TT from sideview. I know that it is hard to make something in this scale. The rear engine cover should be longer.

Hmm... Yeah, its also has a bit of tt in it. But i believe its mainly because the wheels look large and that makes the whole build a bit "bulky" like a tt. Maybe the length is also a bit short? Still, i really like the bend hose piece in front. Did something similar on an audi concept once. Definately keep this Moc updated with us if you do any changes rolli ;)

I actually reworked the back just yesterday. Looks better now. Will take new pictures in the coming days.
