Bigger Fish Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) So, I've been thinking of making and selling custom LEGO sets for money like many do, namely focusing on CCBS. However, I don't have that much to go on. Does anyone have a good guide or advice on getting started? Please let me know and share what you have. (Or move this if it is in the wrong place.) Logan McOwen Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 What sort of customs? 3D prints, painted pieces? Quote
Bigger Fish Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Custom lego sets made out of pre existing parts. Quote
DraikNova Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Find a place to advertise. You won't make money if people don't know your service exists. How many LEGO boards to you participate in? In each of them, make a topic like this one. Link to the relevant topic in your sig on each site. If you participate in less than three, either find an additional way to get known, or start participating in more boards. Quote
Bigger Fish Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 Ok, neat. I recently joined BZPower for the art contest. I think I might try to get more involved there as well. Maybe check out the other sections here too. Quote
VBBN Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 Bricklink has a separate section where you can sell MOCs. Find a place to advertise. If you do follow that advice here please remember Eurobricks has a policy on advertising: Selling, self promotion and promoting: New members are not allowed to sell/trade on this site, but we do allow long term members to do so in the Buy/Sell/Trade/Finds forum; be sure to read the rules to this forum before posting there. We occasionally allow exclusions to this rule but you need to contact the staff first. We NEVER allow the personal message system to be used to spam or contact members to make sales offers. If you engage in this practice, you will be subject to an immediate ban. The only time the personal message system should be used is when both parties have previously agreed to that form of communication. We take no responsibility for any transaction that takes place as a result of contact made on this site. If you have a problem with a transaction, you should discuss it with the other party, not us. Quite simply, know who you are dealing with and act accordingly. If it seems too good to be true, it probably is. Please don't use Eurobricks as a billboard. You may certainly post links to your site in your signature, but don't join just to advertise your site. This includes reviews/MOCs/contests posted on off-site forums. Quote
