jonfett Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 I don't think I will get it yet either, I will get it in a few years when they re-release it! ;) Jon. Quote
jonfett Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 DoubleT: will you please shut up about them Jack stone sets! :P Jon. Quote
DoubleT Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Spider-man system sets... World City.... Even some Potter ones..., Alpha Team :) Quote
jonfett Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Yeah I know these sets are better. Much better than some of the sw stuff we have seen lately, which is not alot. If they spent more time on the lines which are good (like what you have mentioned) then SW would be one of the best, but it isnt at the moment. Jon. Quote
ApophisV Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 *still hoping for a fourth mini line as sneak from comic con* Quote
jonfett Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Yes, a fourth line would be good. Better than the system stuff we have been getting. We want more UCS to, although its expensive. But... haven't we heard already that it will be the lego game??? Jon. Quote
sam89 Posted July 22, 2004 Posted July 22, 2004 Nope, nothing was revealed at Comic-Con exceot for the TIE Collection and the Star Wars game :( Quote
Jipay Posted July 23, 2004 Author Posted July 23, 2004 I strongly disagree on the bad year problem. This year I got sets I never had the occasion to get, that is to say rebel ships. I had no x-wing, no snowspeeder and no flacon (I still don't have it but it should come soon). I had no tatoine luke either, and more important : no obi wan. I also missed the tie advanced. So for you, yes it is a bad year, but for me, it is the best year ever. Life is just a question fo point of wiev. And think about this : by selling classic ships; lgo might get new customer. And 2004 is before 2005 And because of the release of the dvd + the release of episode 5, 2005 will hopefully be one of the best year. And thanks for the (one) $ you gave to eurobricks by clicking tonight :P Continue to click frequently ;) I must had we could organise a contest for people to win a 10131 around september/october if we continue that way Quote
sam89 Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 That would be a great competion, beacause although I would quite like to get 10131, I doubt that I ever will. So here's hoping on an a 10131 competition! :D *goes away to click on adds* Quote
sam89 Posted July 23, 2004 Posted July 23, 2004 A bit of bad news: They've changed the price. Now it costs Quote

I don't really care about it anyways. But I still want the new KK2 sets over here. We got the first batch first but it sucks, I want the new ones. :) Quote

sam89 Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Here's some comparison pictures of the old and new TIEs on Brickshelf. They're quite a lot different to the old ones. Here's the changes I noticed: TIE Fighter - Added on pieces to the wings to make the sides come to a point - Added blue 2x1 grill piece on top of cockpit - Different type of hing to open the cockpit - More pieces on top of the parts that connect the wings to the main body - Two blue 2x1 grills taken out of the centre of the wings TIE Advanced - The main body goes much further back than on the old one and is built very differently - Radar dish added to the top of the cockpit - Inverse wedges added to the bottom of the parts that connect the wings for more support - Tiles added to the outside of wings and overall wing shape changed I think overall these changes make both the TIEs look much sleeker than they're originals, especially Darth's TIE. I'm actually quite looking forward to getting this set, since the only TIE I've got at the moment is the Bomber :D Quote
DoubleT Posted July 30, 2004 Posted July 30, 2004 Good find sam89, one question are you getting the set? Quote
