Posted October 25, 200717 yr hi...i haven't really thought of chrome plating my lego mf accessories or even lego mf, but seeing how brickforge did so well with the gold chrome c3p0 and a few other matte gold/silver helmets i have seen on brickshelf, i was wondering if anyone has any experience with chroming lego parts and how it's done? i've been thinking of revitalizing some of my old castle helmets that have yellowed.
October 25, 200717 yr Chroming tends to be a really expensive process if done right. I believe BF sends them to a company to do it well. It's hard to do it on your own, but I believe you need to set up some sort of vacuuming apparatus which is itself a chore. I think the cost tends to be around $20 per piece but I could be way off
October 25, 200717 yr some of brickforge's chrome minifigs always turn out very nice and i want to make a couple of heroes or something. What kind of company would do it?
