Posted January 20, 20169 yr Hi Sci-fi friends, Wanted to share my creation of a 'Classic UFO', depicting a 1950's Flying Saucer from the golden age of Sci-Fi. It took some time to develop this project and I'm happy with how it turned out. A mysterious spacecraft with 3 alien visitors has just touched down on a very strange planet called earth. The saucer has 4 landing struts, an exit ramp/ladder underneath, 3 separate control panels and other colorful features. All three Extraterrestrials fit easily inside, and each has a Ray Gun and a Prod. My 'Classic UFO' has just arrived on LEGO IDEAS, and is currently featured in the 'Popular This Week' section, under my name LegoPops10. January 27, 20169 yr Author Hi Guys, Wanted to share the update on my Lego Ideas project under the heading "Classic UFO", featuring a 1950's inspired Flying Saucer. The project has evolved a bit and hopefully improved as a set. It's also taken a humorous twist with The Visitors from the moon. There's a brief story line and 4 new pictures in the update. January 28, 20169 yr Hi LegoPops, Being new on Eurobricks, I'm sure you still remember the Site Guidelines that you read carefully before signing up, especially the paragraph about Lego Ideas promoting. LEGO Ideas: If you have a great MOC, that is also a LEGO Ideas project, you may present it on EB as you would any MOC, with a single link to the Ideas entry. Make the title about the MOC, not the Ideas business; don't be too shouty, and it is likely to be tolerated. You need to be thinking: 'I want people on EB to see my MOC and comment on it. If they like it, perhaps they'll support it on LEGO Ideas', rather than: 'I want Ideas support! If I post it on EB, perhaps more people will vote!.

February 20, 20169 yr Already liked! It would have been cool if Alien Conquest had been a little more 'classic' in its approach, but hopefully that leaves room for a great idea like yours.
February 21, 20169 yr I love it! I grew up on things like the Earth Vs the Flying Saucers and the Day the Earth Stood Still (The original classic not the tepid new one). I am 100% full on board behind you all the way on this. you've got my vote for ideas that's for sure. I could see this being a nice $40 set with a bunch of classic looking aliens piloting it.
